Today we are proud to be hosting an absolutely beautiful vintage afternoon tea wedding for an ex-member of staff. Thanks to Delight Vintage Tea Set Hire The Vintage Sash Company and Cherish Cakes by Katherine Edwards all of which were used by our bride and groom to create this truly unique wedding day. Xxx

So it turns out that waiter wasn’t a member of staff all along, but a secret singing waiter called Lewis Hutton - UK Vocalist who managed to blend in seamlessly with our team until he started to belt out the tunes doing an awesome job of entertaining everyone.

First video footage of our new and improved eco friendly lawnmower. It’s not as fast as it used to be but it’s nearly silent (apart from the odd whining noise). 😂

Today we were pleased to install our blue heart signs to signal we are following the lead of our friends at the BLUE campaign who are working with schools and communities to persuade people to leave areas of grass uncut to encourage wildlife and wild flowers. For a couple of years now we have been leaving areas of the hotel grounds “unmown” through summer for exactly this reason. Have a look online or at their Facebook page and join in.

Went Sunday for lunch, the food was outstanding and the service was excellent, enjoyed

Meeting with friends and had a very relaxed couple of hours definitely would

recommend if you are looking for the extra something.

We now look on the Compass Inn as are nearly local, I live in WSMare and our friends live in Swindon, we us it fairly regularly as we love the welcome atmosphere and the extensive menu, never dissapointed and will visit again.

Stayed the night after a show in Chipping Sodbury, staff were very helpful and pleasant.

Rooms were clean,well equipped and comfortable,food was excellent.

My wedding at the Compass last weekend was amazing.

It all started the night before the wedding I arrived with a load of things which they stored for me and made sure they had everything they needed.

We had a delicious meal that evening, the food was incredible.

On the day of the wedding the staff clearly worked very hard to make everything look perfect, which it did. It is the most beautiful setting anyway so doesn’t really need a lot of decorating.

Everything seemed to go to plan, the owner and all of the staff were just amazing and we couldn’t have asked for a better day, it was perfect and I couldn’t have imagined a better setting! Food on the day was gorgeous and we had a hog roast in the evening which was a big hit! Thank you to everyone at the compass inn. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and we will certainly be back for meals and probably anniversaries �

My wedding at The Compass Inn was amazing the food was delicious every one of my guests commented how much they enjoyed the food. The orangery is beautiful and the staff work very hard to make your day special, my wedding was just perfect in every way possible. I went there with a large group of friends for a Christmas celebration evening. We were on the orangery which was warm and tastefully decorated for Christmas. The food was excellent and the service very good. There was a great disco afterwards that got everyone dancing. We were not the only group there but everyone mingled and got on well, Difficult to find any faults with the evening

I stay regularly at the hotel with work...it is set in a secluded charming area. The owner and staff are fantastic and always there to make it feel home from home.

The food and restaurant is very good with very large portions and value for money. the rooms are comfortable and have a nice big tvs in.

The locals are friendly and always a good joke laugh and conversations going on.

Parking is easy and never have to fight for a space. Wifi is poor. Variety of breakfast is good but, it can be hit or miss.

Had all my wedding here on Saturday 3rd June and although a few little things we had the most fantastic day. X

Celebrated my daughter’s wedding at The Compass Inn. Wonderfully helpful with the planning for the reception, everything carried out perfectly. Staff and managers so very considerate, nothing too much trouble. Food was great throughout and everybody was very satisfied. Our rooms were very comfortable and welcoming. My daughter’s special day with her husband was perfect.

Another great visit to The Compass Inn. My wife and I popped in for a drink and a bite to eat. Lovely staff, particularly enjoyed the guest ale bar in front of the fire.

Amazing food. The chefs are very talented. Waiters are helpful and polite. Took a while for the starters to arrive but it was so worth it. Will be coming back very soon

Sunday lunch with the family , excellent choice , good size portions and plenty of extra gravy . Great value for money . Would definately go there again for Sunday lunch .

I had the misfortune to break down on the M4 and was towed off to the Compass Inn car park. Myself and my better half ventured in and was delightfully surprised by the warm, friendly welcome we received by staff and locals. We were made welcome straight away and made to feel at home at once. After enjoying the hospitality for two and a half hours I would recommend this Inn for whatever your needs, as I am sure you also, will be pleasantly surprised.

Food & service really excellent, atmosphere very good as well.
