Great food, lovely welcoming staff and beautiful pub restaurant. Thoroughly recommended.

Went to this pub restaurant for my mums birthday and got to say the food is to die for! The staff are so well mannered and friendly, there was some lovely homemade bread with garlic butter on the house and it was so tasty! I had a sirloin steak with melted blue cheese and triple cooked chips, it was perfection. Cooked to my liking. The chocolate brownie for the pudding was delicious. Couldn't fault the place and will definitely come back very soon!

Stayed in Palladium house overnight very nice room one of four with access to kitchen and lounge also. Understand you can hire all the property. Had breakfast in the Copper Horse very friendly service and good food.

Went as part of a group of 18.Food was great and plentiful and prices reasonable. Service timely, friendly and efficient. Decor on a cinema theme and puppet collection make a visit doubly worthwhile. Highly recommended.

Great staff ,great food, great night

Brilliant, great food and fantastic staff, we was made to feel welcome even with two young children, definitely worth a trip.

Although the food was excellent we were very disappointed that we were seated close to a door that lead to a cold store, during our main course staff were in and out of the door about 4 times, by the end of it I had to put my coat on and my partner said his legs were really cold. As a result we did not have dessert or coffee so cut short our evening.

Gastropubs may be ten a penny these days but The Copper House is an fantastic example of what a good gastropub is like – lovely food, good service, nice decor, and decent beer. The slow cooked duck I had was one of the best meals I've had in a while.

We dined at The Copper Horse 2 nights in a row as the food was very impressive.
The first night I had a "simple" Fishcake light bite, which was fresh, tasty and very well served.
The second night I had the sirloin steak which was cooked to perfection.
Juicy, Tender and succulent - perfect.
The rest of our party also commented how good their food was.
It has a unique solid copper bar which is eye catching and the staff are quick & friendly.
Dogs are allowed too so this will be a place we return too again

Me and my wife went there this friday evening. Food was OK but for some strange reason in an almost empty restaurant they sat us on the smallest table in there. We even had to put items from the table on to the floor so we had room. You get a small loaf of bread which would have been good to have with our starters but we had to eat that quickly so they could clear it away the plate it was on to make room for when the starters arrived. Understandable if the place was full but surely it is better to make customers feel welcome and comfortable, we only had starter and mains and then left. Also questions why was the restaurant almost empty on a Friday evening.
