The dashing and daring Dick Danger wowing at Willow Place - there's more chances to see him this afternoon at Grow Festival
Wind in the willows was fabulous! The best thing we’ve taken the children to see. The crafts to do before the show were lovely all in all a brilliant experience.
We've been a few times now and my little boy loved dear zoo today he cried when it finished!
We visited The Core on Christmas Eve for Wind in the Willows.
From entering the theatre doors we were greeted by friendly staff, telling our daughter there would be a lovely surprise at the end of the performance. And there was!
The production was brilliant. Interactive from the moment we sat down. Cast were fantastic.
Definitely worth a visit.
We took our 10 year old daughter to see a Christmas Carol yesterday, I have never visited before and was amazed at how wonderful the little theatre is. It is comfortable, atmospheric and when watching the show we really felt part of it. The actors were brilliant along with the effects, very dramatic and engaging. Well done all involved with the show 5 stars from all of us .x.
We had booked to watch the Wind in the Willows when the snow hit. The Core cancelled and kindly offered us to book in for any other showingeven though we had booked on an offer night. We were greeted by very friendly staff upon arrival and was asked if we would like to move seats to the stalls as they were empty and they felt our children would engage better down there. The show was lovely!!! With limited props and a few actors we were completely submerged into the world of Mr Toad and his friends. Our two daughters aged 6 & 8 throughly enjoyed it as did we. Many thanks for a lovely evening.
Travelled from Leicester to see The Dolls on Saturday. Car park - excellent, cheap and convenient. Staff - friendly and helpful. Bar- cheap and quick service. Seating - comfy and a good view (we were in the gallery). Overall a really good experience and I'll definitely look to go there again. The theatre itself is quite compact but that lends itself to a good atmosphere during the performance.
I've visited two times so far for the Austism Friendly cinema viewings with my Daughter Isobelle and I have to say she has loved it every time she can move, dance, make noises whenever she feels it's so relaxed there and your not judged either! The staff are brilliant and make us both feel very welcome and go beyond to make her feel super duper happy thank you very much xx
I had a fantastic night at The Core at Corby Cube watching Danny Bhoy.
On arrival i was given a warm welcome by the staff, many of whom remember me from previous visits.
I was shown to my seat and, since i use a walking stick due to being raspberry rippled, i was asked if i was OK or needed any help.
The theater although small, is comfortable and cosy and also warm and welcoming.
It provides a sense of intimacy with the performer(s) on stage, especially the front rows.
I had a great view from seat BB13 second row from the stage.
it is far better than the old Willows Theatre.
The show was amazing, very funny especially when Danny was talking about being confident and in walked a late comer, Mr Confidence himself he apologized for being late, shook hands with the people either side of him and he was immaculately dressed. He was from Arizona and responded well and with humor when Danny chatted to him.
Since Danny had a train to catch there was no interval in this show, he went straight through which was great as there was no break in the flow of humor.
At the end of the show i thanked the various staff i met on the way out, they were happy, smartly dressed and a pleasure to meet. Great job folks.
I look forward to my next experience of a social life when i get to see Jason Byrne who did a brilliant and frenetic show last year when he visited.
Had a great night Saturday watching purple Mellon they were amazing , boy could they play, that show was amazing
Great production Wind in the Willows . Thank you a magical family trip to the theatre. Well done to all at the Core 😀Merry Christmas 🎄
Fantastic venue for many types of shows, but an awesome venue for live music.
A Small compact venue making any music experience a great one. The seating is fairly comfy unlike some venues.
The staff are always helpful and friendly.
Loving this venue and one of Corby's best improvements.
Came with the family last night to see Christmas Carol we really enjoyed the whole experience of being on the stage side and taking part, my granddaughters who at first was very shy went up to dance with her Mummy and they both had a good time. We came on recommendation from another friend who said we must see it it was great. So thank you it was a good evening
Came from Leicester to see The Etta James story and what a fantastic venue to enjoy an outstanding show. Theatre very easy to get to, parking was no problem and very cheap in nearby car park. Staff were very welcoming and helpful, drink prices were very good as well. If your looking to eat out first as well some fantastic places just yards away from venue. Will definitely be visiting here again...
Brilliant performance of the Wind in the Willows at a modern, well designed & friendly venue. A visit to The Cube has now become one of our family Christmas traditions.
A must see shop. Very good and funny.
Well done.
Great music too.
We went to see Al Murray he was hilarious. As for the core itself as far as I'm aware the theatre is staffed by volunteers who are doing a brilliant job but are obviously not trained experienced staff and I hope people are more understanding towards them as they are doing the best job they can and for free. As for the theatre it is great unless you have one of the seats on the outer edges on the top level. I don't know who designed it but they clearly didn't know what they were doing with these seats as you are not only facing the people sitting opposite you instead of the stage you also have to lean over at a twisted angle to actually see the stage which makes for a very uncomfortable night! Other than that and the need for more bathroom facilities the theatre is great and from the areas I have seen kept very clean
I was at the cube last night to watch Abbamania . We were there with 2 wheelchair users. Only thing which I would complain about was that our party of 4 were separated opposite sides of the stage. When I booked the tickets we were together as a group but when collecting our tickets on the night we were separated. Fair play to staff they did ask people if they would swap seats but they declined. All of this could have been avoided though. The night itself was excellent entertainment. Just reading the comment below regarding bar staff. Perhaps The Core should adopt the system of many theatres who ask if you would like to pre order drinks for the interval. They are set out in an area with your name on when you exit for the break.
Always enjoy going to the Core, the one and only thing that lets it down it the bar! Both bars are Sooo busy, only two staff, and then they ask you to hurry up and take your seat. More bar staff plez!
I went to see a friend perform he was good but the experience wasn't.
A member of staff was rushing us out of the venue after the show had finished and was down right rude saying she wanted get get home so we had to leave immediately.
I was disgusted with her attitude.
The venue was good but I won't go again because of we had made the effort from peterborough to Corby for the show.
