Do you know about our Sponsor a Seat sponsorship programme?
Sponsors will have a personalised plaque with their chosen inscription on a theatre seat.
Corperate sponsors are very welcome too, so local or regional companies could get their name displayed for ten years for a bargain rate.
... Whatever the reason, seat sponsors have the satisfaction of knowing they're supporting The Core Theatre and their plaque will be seen by literally thousands of people over 10 years... all of them having a great time in our much-loved, friendly venue.

What an amazing night for the ELO experience had an amazing night staff were very helpful can't wait for our next visit 5 star all the way

User

Went to see Peter Pan last night with two of the grandchildren aged three and and seven, both really enjoyed it as did I.

Great value for money, you can see the cast worked very hard.

User

Very pleasant theatre , i like the brickwork walls and comfy seats and the spacious waiting area had a good latte there with a short undercover walk to the carpark £1.50 all evening

User

Lovely theatre, immaculately kept. Small enough to feel intimate yet big enough to have a great atmosphere. Plenty of leg room and comfy seats which are steeply stacked to give a fine view. My first visit to Solihull for many years, but very impressed both with the theatre and the arts centre itself, and close by an impressive modern shopping mall. Parking easy and reasonable cost.

User

Lovely theatre, have been there twice and been very comfortable and had a great view!

User

Lovely little theatre and a fab cafe bar in the foyer with a great choice of drinks and snacks, not too expensive. Staff were friendly and also relaxed with people getting up to dance, as long as not becoming a nuisance to others. Very convenient and secure parking at Touchwood next door. Looking forward to coming to another show here!

User

I'm part of a local theatre group who use the Core for their shows! We have just completed our run of Oliver and would just like to thank the staff who were amazing! The food for our aftershow party was plenty and tasty and a big shout out to the bar staff!!!

User

I have watched and throughly enjoyed a few performances here. I think it's a great little venue and the atmosphere has always been fabulous.

The staff including bar have always been quick and friendly.

Reading some of the comments I have to say that the Core Theatre isn't the NEC or the O2.......it's a theatre! Therefore I have never been to a performance where a support act has come on beforehand!

If the ticket says 7.30pm......be there for 7.30pm

Brilliant place......will use again and again

User

I have been hiring the core theatre for our dance school shows for over 10 years. The staff are fantastic, the recent refurb is incredible and I would gladly recommend this place to anyone

User

Fabulous venue, no need to go to the city! Clean with comfy seats, large enough not to feel impersonal and small enough to make you feel part of the show. Great value for money and a great night out!

User

Came too watch Sooty with my niece and sister, was a perfect sized theatre to see everything wherever you were sat, team were friendly and welcoming. Lovely coffee and home made cake before the show too so all round a lovely day out, keep up the good work 👍🏻

User

Came to watch hoot hoot owl on Thursday we loved it the cafe was nice and the whole atmosphere was relaxed and friendly

User

Always a winner with the kids, whether during school holidays or just a weekend potter. Lily and the Snowbear was a great show over Xmas too. Cafe is decent, transport is easy, staff are friendly and prices are reasonable - can’t ask for more than that!

User

A thoroughly enjoyable experience. Everyone was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The toilets were clean and well stocked and the theatre itself was fresh and comfortable. Also the cakes we consumed during the interval were delicious! This was our third visit and we will certainly be back again!

User

A great venue to watch some quality entertainment. Very intimate with a good view from whole theatre.

User

Love the theatre we go regularly but last night went to see Gerry across the Mersey very disappointed. , Gerry Marsden only on for about 45 minutes in total rest of evening was a comedian and the Pacemakers on their own, not what we expected!! Always enjoyed other acts and we've seen quite a few but, this was not good

User

I took my 73 year old father to the viva neil diamond show which was a lovely evening and my father enjoy the show very much the staff are helpful and the ingress and access areas are very good most relaxing evening recommended for a night out

User

First time I have ever been here, very friendly staff drinks not too expensive.Lovely atmosphere. The only down side was the seats are not very big bit of a tight squeeze.

User

Enjoyed my time here, coffee was good, including frendly staff.

Only big thing I would say is the lack of knowledge or assistance with getting wifi connection. It's badly set up you have to sign up to get a password before you can register your details for free wifi they then send an email or text message with the password.

Firstly how can you read an email when you are not online? Text message to your phone. To read it you have to exit the sign up screen to register your details & password.

Once back in to sign up for wifi it yet again asks for a password before you enter your details. Hmm you think that would be fine you now have a password BUT it won't let you type it in until you have registered your details. Yet again it texts you a new password to your phone.

Hmm you receive another text message with your password then you asked to register again yet again you receive a different password and I kept going around in circles with password, before I could register. Gave up in the end.

Wifi in SMBC Guest is badly set up.

Now for the Courtyard Gallery exhibition space. Great gallery space

BUT very badly sign posted. If you were enjoying a cup of coffer there would no way of being aware that the library had a Art Exhibition on. Lack of signage it needs to have a big bold sign up on the blank wall facing the entrance to direct visitors to the Courtyard Gallery.

Been told by so many visitors who come to the library that they're were totally unaware of the Courtyard Gallery within the library.

SMBC needs to promote this better more signage in Touchwood including within the library. Signage around the town center directing visitors to the Courtyard Gallery.

SMBC have provided a great resource to the community but letting themselves including vistors down by not promoting it better. Requires improved signage within the library. It's ok for staff to know about it but it's the new visitors to the town center you need to encourage to visit the Courtyard Gallery & theatre

Take a moment of standing at the entrance of the libray and sit in the cafe and you notice how poor the directions to the Courtyard Gallery is.

I hope you take note & review how the library can improve the signage including promoting any exibition is on.

Flyers should be on view in the cafe promoting What's On this month.

Thank you
