We love The Coronation. Chris is the host with the most, great food, delightful surroundings, decent beer, love it so much we had their beer for our wedding. It is a place of happy memories for us.

Recently moved to the area this is now my local. Been in a few times now friendly staff, good selection of drinks and amazing pizza!! I would be happy to drink/ eat in there alone as customers are friendly and chatty too 😊😊

First visit to this hidden gem of a pub!!! Great atmosphere, we visited for a music event, played a few tunes, had a great reception! Saw lots of yummy pizzas being handmade, so will be going back to try!! Lovely staff and friendly locals 💜

Been here about half a dozen times, some lovely real ale. Hope to see a few more guest ales over time, some Derby Brewing Company or Dancing Duck perhaps?

Had food twice, both times it was great, good sized portions, well cooked and good quality. All at reasonable prices.

A really valuable addition to Alvaston and to Derby.

Another horse ride to the pub for a decent pint. Chris as always with the horses was very accomdating, just need to time it so that we come before he cuts the grass lol

not a mixing pub. food menu not as good. only go in because live locally

However this is the first time we've been in on a Sunday and it's unfortunate to say but the food wasn't the greatest.. I was looking forward to my topside of beef with Yorkshire.. however the meat was just far too chewy.. the lack of mash potatoe was heartbreaking enough.. never mind the fact the parsnips were too hard for my teeth! Lovely pub lovely staff.



Just disappointed with the food � I came away hungry!!

Ignored by the landlord, stood at the bar 10 minutes before another member of staff came to serve us!!!! Pizzas have shrunk along with the portion size of other meals and the presentation has gone downhill. Chris had class, bring him back.

Well what has happened to this pub 1st of all theve done away with fosters so having to drink tuborg coro's always had fosters, I had fish chips & peas costing £9.95 it was like a kids portion after complaining the chef said well you got a whale meaning the fish what an attitude and the pub was freezing no heating on yet when chris was there it was always too hot won't be eating there again

Rubbish, bring back the old landlord !!!!
