Went last night with friends and had an excellent all round experience.



Greeted warmly at the door, we were taken to the bar area to await our friends arrival. Immediately offered a drink. I thought there was a good choice including XO Cognac.



I had asked for a quieter table, not in the middle of the restaurant and we were seated at one of the booths.



I thought the menu was varied and sounded nice.



The one issue I had, was that between sitting down and ordering, we had to wait a few minutes more than I liked to get another drink. Upon telling the waiter, he apologised and for the rest of the evening, I feel an extra effort was made to ensure we were well stocked for drinks.



All of the food (including my friends who is a vegetarian) was splendid. Served beautifully, hot and fresh.



At the end of the evening, the man who I assume is the owner/manager came over to check if we had enjoyed ourselves and offered us a complimentary drink. This often happens at restaurants, but what impressed me about last night, was the fact that we had been drinking £9.95 XO Cognacs all night (amongst other drinks) and we were given the same drinks by the manager. Most places would give you a cheap shot of whatever you asked for, but not in this case. A nice touch that means, along with the rest of the enjoyable experience, makes sure we will be booking again very soon.



A respectful handshake upon leaving makes sure we will be returning.

Went last night (Good Friday) our first visit ever which is very surprising as it has been there for 14 years. The food was absolutely scrummy and the service was second to none everyone was so friendly will definitely be going again and hopefuly in the not to distant future. Can't praise it enough

We have just eaten here after winning a competition for a meal for 3. The food was amazing and the service just as good. We will definitely be coming back and I would highly recommend it here.

We have been visiting since it first opened and have never had a bad experience. The staff are and have always been friendly and helpful even when they are very busy. The food yet again was amazing and we are really looking forward to trying the new street food menu that launches next week. See you soon �

Visited the Cottage last Sunday had a great meal the new prawn starter was amazing.The offer was great three courses and a glass of procecco £18.95 don't know who you do it at such a good price with such good quality food.Will be back soon. Thank you to the staff for making us feel so welcome lovely staff , nothing is too much trouble they always go above and beyond.

This was the first time in the restaurant and I was really impressed, the furniture layout and decor was brilliant and the food was excellent. The staff were very good and extremely helpful.

The food is amazing! The new garlic seek kebab just melts in the mouth! Stunning food.

Just come back from an amazing birthday meal with my family. Just as we were given the bill, the guys came out to another table with a piece of chocolate cake to celebrate someone’s birthday. Then by surprise one of the waiters came out of nowhere with a bottle of prosecco and a shooting flame candle and said it was a gift from them to me on my birthday!! So just want to say thanks for a lovely night. Food was absolutely amazing, very quick service, lovely waiters and waitresses. It is a lovely place to celebrate a nice occasion or just go for a lovely meal. Thanks Soo much once again!!��� I will enjoy my bottle of prosecco knowing it is off you more now. Had a lovely surprise treat for mother’s day. Fab meal, great service and fantastic ambience. Always have a great time here and will definitely be back.

Excellent early evening meal with a friend. Couple of very good new dishes. Been going here for many years and never disappointed.

Not up to usual standards. Miserable waiter, poor service, dirty toilets, food just very average for the very expensive cost. Should’ve got prossecco with meal and it didn’t arrive.

I was celebrating my Birthday, everything was spot on, until the main meal arrived, “ we both had the same” the one and only lamb chop on my husbands plate, was all fat, I told him to let them know but he didn’t and as there was plenty for him to get on with he didn’t want to make a fuss, beside that a super night, the service was extremely good and a member of staff was very good his name was Zaffa, he went the extra mile, well done Sir. It was an extremely busy night, so full marks good organisation.!!! Will defiantly visit again👍

Had vouchers for xmas and it was the first time we’d ever gone too the cottage and sadly it will be the last �I ordered red fried rice I never got I got mushroom instead I ordered 3 Nann breads I paid for 4 which is ok but then I only received 3 �we found the meals too be very watery and not much taste, we spent over £60 on a takeaway and tbh it wasn’t worth it.

Menu is very limited, portions are shocking, and for some reason, even though the restaurant was quite empty, we felt very rushed - we had poppadoms, a starter, and our meal before we'd even finished our first pint (under 40 mins). First time here, and sorry to say - I wouldn't return. Seemed more of a seafood restaurant than an Indian. And don't get me started on pricing - £12 for a basic curry, then almost £4 for rice. Quite shocking really. Seems to play a lot on the Oliver Cromwell story- yet you get seated in an extension to the original building.

Food nice but service extremely slow. 3 hours to complete our meal and in 3 hours we only managed to get 2 rounds of drinks � we couldn't get the waiters attention and when we finally did we waited 25 minutes for a simple round of drinks! Asked for drinks list and it never arrived - decided not to bother ordering any more.

Felt like we were treated differently for being on the January offer menu. Simple request of a scoop of ice cream or some pouring cream with my cheesecake and he basically said no - you won't need it! Shocking , I work in a restaurant and this is a simple request that we would honour with no arguments. It's the little things like this that make a difference to the overall experience and the staff were far from obliging.

Shame as we've been many times in the past and this experience has put me off - plenty of other Indian restaurants out there to try

Worst service I have ever had. We booked a table for 6 o clock and by 8.30 we had still only had our starters. There was only a about 5 waiters for a busy restaurant and we could not even get there attention to chase up the food. We left at 8.30and won’t be going back. They seemed more interested in getting take always out to the customers who were waiting in the bar.
