TBT! 2 years ago... beautiful spring wreaths were being made... and a new Loft Room Craft Studio was being born!

Fighting a darn good dose of laryngitis and a temperature hasn’t stopped me finishing these 8 aprons for the lovely crafters who attend courses I do at my craft studio The Loft Room. I’m really happy with them! But now it’s more tablets and bed for me🤒

To all my followers... please forgive me if I’m a little slow today with messaging/emailing you back. Last night I found my gorgeous Millie Bear in her usual spot on the sofa after having suddenly passed away. She was 3, not unwell and as you can see... one big affectionate bear. I did CPR, rushed her while continuing to a late night vet but nothing could be done. As you can imagine.... it’s devastating, a massive shock and I’m having trouble today. ... Bear with me... The Crackled Horse is just me and I will do my best to sort all your messages out by the end of today through years and tissues. Thank you. Helen

Looking forward to my May craft course, today I’ve used marbled paper and painted silhouette onto them in acrylic and also used a stencil of a bird and some flowers. I went on to screen print onto fabric very simply too with an organic coral stencil. Here’s the results! If you think you’d like to learn this easy technique, see my events for more details.

Having run out of business cards and having lots of promotional events due, my new business cards have arrived. I’ve opted for a picture postcard instead of a small calling card and I’m so pleased with them! Thanks hubby... clever boy... I can see why he’s head of brand at Ocado! 😂

I LOVE my job. I’ve had a lovely afternoon with a party of very creative and experiential young ladies celebrating a birthday. Don’t think I could get any more job satisfaction doing what I do. I wanted to go home and enjoy real cupcakes, they were such a fun bunch. Happy Birthday little one... you all did fabulous! 🎉
