This production is restricted to over 14s only.
Rebuild UK is a very active and hardworking charity operating in disaster relief and faith communities around the globe. They are on the cusp of receiving political and corporate recognition that will catapult them into one of the largest faith run charities in the world. But there is a storm brewing.
For many years Rebuild UK has preyed on and abused the broken, vulnerable women it was incorporated to serve. Its survival has be...en predicated on the assurance of the silence of its victims. But Connie Harrington has decided to speak out. And after her, Abi, Marianne, and Sophia follow. All of whom had kept silent for fear that speaking out would jeopardise their aid and threaten the lives of their loved ones and their communities. End The Silence asks why the clergy would cover up the abuse of its children, and follows the struggles of six women in their fight for justice and to have their voices heard. End The Silence examines the intoxication of power and its ability to corrupt all that are caught in its web.
"A very interesting and entertaining show...the acting was uniformly excellent, one of the standouts being Levi Harrington played with the right amount of arrogance, charm, and menace by Joe Quartson. The play had me laughing, shaking my head, feeling sorrow & anger" -Lovers of Black Theatre
"A wonderful show. The writing is superb!" -Elite Management
Anticipated running time: 2 hours, 30 minutes

In a modern, technological world, where we often hide behind masks and feel alone in our personal battles, this show has a mission to connect people, to inspire and empower through vulnerability, sincerity and sharing, as well as give more appreciation of one’s opportunities in life, deeper relationships, and the beauty of being ourselves, accepting ourselves with all our demons and angels.
I'm Woman is an autobiographical story of the actress Ana Daud, who grew up without he...r parents and was sexually abused in childhood. This experience led to hard consequences and battles to overcome. In order to leave the past behind and begin a new life stronger then ever before, the main character needs to face her biggest fears.
Directed by the best Russian director award-winner Dmitry Akrish, this hard-hitting true story merges facts, powerful memories and physical theatre to explore the truth and ramifications of Ana's story.
This production is restricted to over 16s only. Contains strong language and themes some may find distressing.
Anticipated running time: 1 hours, 15 minutes

Constellations Opens May 11th in the Ron Barber Studio.
In this witty, romantic comedy Roland, a bee-keeper, meets Marianne, a quantum physicist. In a succession of short scenes, skipping backwards and forwards in time, Payne explores ways in which their relationship might or might not develop, as he examines the notion that in a ‚Äėmultiverse‚Äô, at any given time, any number of different outcomes can co-exist.
Questioning the role of free will and chance, this is a compact, t...hought-provoking and ultimately very poignant play.

Theatre Event Collaboration The Crescent Theatre Company presents Collaboration by Ronald Harwood... 30 Mar - 6 Apr in the Studio
There will be an After Dark discussion following the 19:45 performance on Fri, 5th Apr. Free to ticket holders.
This production contains smoking of herbal or e-cigarettes.
This powerful play explores the relationship between the composer Richard Strauss, big, bold, intensely creative and prone to speak before thinking and his new librettist, Stephan Zweig, gentle, sensitive and highly diplomatic. The composer had a desperate need to work on a new opera and Zweig was his choice of librettist. There would be national celebrations and Goebbels would be in the audience at its premiere. But … Zweig was a Jew.
His name had to be eliminated to avoid embarrassment to the National Socialist Party. How would Germany’s greatest living composer cope under increasing pressure from the ruling Nazi party? Would Zweig survive?
Collaboration speaks powerfully about friendship, loyalty, betrayal and sacrifice in the face of terrifying odds.

Went to see The Jerseys here yesterday. Its was fab! It was our first time at this theatre. We really loved it. It was really friendly and welcoming. We will definately be going again in the future and have recommended to our friends. Really close to multi storey carpark which is very handy too!

Oliver is AMAZING ! The theatre ūüé≠ is quite small compared to some but is so well thought out ! The view of the stage is fantastic and the scenery for Oliver is superb ! The children were fabulous and Fagin and Nancy were outstanding. If you get the chance don't miss it !

User

Lovely theatre, the staff were very warm and welcoming. They were also very helpful too. We went to see Forbidden Nights last night there was a wonderful atmosphere from the audience and I don't think we would have got that in a bigger theatre. Would definitely recommend The Crescent Theatre and will certainly be looking at other events they host.ÔŅĹ

Love the Crescent I have the same seat on me balcony!

Friendly staff and great performers, bars are a bit slow at half time but over all a very enjoyable experience well done !

User

Just been to see "The Thrill of Love" what a brilliant performance by all the cast and those in the background.

I admit i did jump at the first "flash" just like the person who was sitting next to me.

I knew she was the last woman hanged but, for them to tell the story in that way was amazing.

If you have the time go watch this you will not be disappointed.

User

I went to "Breaking the Code" last night and was blown away by the stunning performances. I have a particular interest in Bletchley Park as my late father in law is on the roll of honour there. Although the set was minimalistic it captured the essence and atmosphere of Bletchley perfectly. I was spellbound by the actors in particular Alan Turing and Dilly Knox. Can I just ask - did you play a hint of Radioheads 'Karma Police' "Arrest this man, he talks in Maths" ? Or did I imagine it?

User

I love this theatre , it's one of birmingham's iconic venues and they host some really great shows and may i also add that the staff are all friendly and helpful.

User

I had never been before so all first impressions.

Staff..VERY friendly and helpful

Facilities...Bar / Coffee area a little small for the amount of people there, could not hear the Tannoy announcements, and though we started back the instant we heard "final call" by the time we got from the Bar to the Studio they had started, never had that happen. But I liked the mix of tables / sofas / stools, a nice environment.

Hobson's Choice...loved it. The cast were brilliant, go and see.

User

I come here on Thursday 27th april and watched forbidden nights, very polite staff. Nice layed out theatre spacious didn't feel cramped in my chair. Had a smashing time, will definitely recommend ÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹ

Hadn't been to The Crescent for about 25 years. No idea why. Very welcoming and friendly, staff were great, and the building has a wonderful warmth and vibe about it. Definitely going back when I can, and quicker than another quarter century!

User

First time and most definitely will not be the last. Had a fantastic evening all seating has a great view and for longs legs plenty of room. The Jerseys and the host Lee were absolutely brilliant a must see.
