What a place to drink and eat ,from the warm greeting when you walk in ,the very friendly and can't do enough for you staff , the food is cooked perfectly ,exactly how we liked it .

The Wainwrights bitter is superb ,not to mention the Ormskirk gin . You will not be disappointed!

We went recently with our 13 year old son and the three of us shared tapas as a starter which we all really enjoyed. My husband and I both had the rib eye steak which was cooked perfectly to our specifications and my son ordered the pan fried salmon with mussels. He was mistakenly served the simple salmon with fries and veg but once we pointed this out it was changed immediately and he only had to wait a few minutes. It was well worth the wait as we all tried a bit of his dish and it was divine

We really struggled to fit in a dessert as we were so stuffed, so shared a bit of our son's chocolate brownie pud which was fab. Total 5 star thumbs up and we will definitely be going back again soon.

Very good value ! Nice decor and staff ! Had fish cake starter omelette with prawns and chocolate brownie but wished id had apple pie like hubby !! But all gorgous �

Took our two two teenagers out for dinner here. Car park bit hard to get too but a lovely place .

Was very busy so bit slow at taking our order but was worth the wait food was delicious 😋 will definitely be returning .

Lunch time visit. Knew it was a good place when one of the staff was outside helping a disabled passer by whose carrier bag had broken. The incident had been observed from inside and she found a bag for him before going to his aide. Food and service first class and the friendlystaff made it 5 star. Had our wedding reception here two years ago . Since then we have been back with friends time and time again . Food quality and quantity is always amazing. Local produce and vegetables! This place is always worth a visit , staff are great and even the beer is CAMRA accredited.

Great night out Tuesday night nice relaxing atmosphere. Not rushed with our food. We ordered the Lancashire Tapas. And the waitress suggested a couple of dishes. And a nice bottle of wine. All the food was pieping hot . And tasted great 👍 we will come again. Finished with a nice coffee and a Great whiskey 🥃. Thanks to all the staff for a dull Tuesday evening in Lancashire being made into a Great evening xx🥂

First time we have been..myself and 3 friends meet up for lunch every 6 weeks and we had the 3 course lunch menu..plenty choice and an excellent price.. we all really enjoyed it and have already arranged to meet up there next time...

Fabulous food, great wine and good beers (usually have a better selection than today) Service is first rate with a great ambience around the place. We travel here but are always more than satisfied.

My husband and I went to the cricketers sunday for a birthday treat. We got s table no problem. My pet hate is being asked what drinks we wanted before we have chance to see what there is. I ordered a diet coke and chris wanted a beer. The waiter couldn't tell him what they had so chris said amy would do. We both had the haddock goujons, these were delicious, no complaints at all. Then chris had the burger, he enjoyed it very much. No complaints again. I had the roast beef dinner, this was on the whole very nice, the beef was delicious, tender and cooked to perfection, the rest of it whilst very tasty was just warm, so that was a disappointment. The chocolate brownie was also very good. The meal was excellent value for money and it would have been 5stars, if it wasn't for the warmth of the main. Would definitely come again though.

Had a little walk round ormskirk and went there for lunch, had the steak with sweet potato jacket and my boyfriend had the steak burger, he lived in America for a long time and said the burger was one of the best since he's been back here, steak was lovely too. Will definitely be going back.

Booked a table for 8 people at 12 noon as going to a show at the University at 2 o’clock and wanted to leave plenty of time. Food was excellent but service was very slow, at 1.35 I had to go and ask for puddings to be bought out straight away and for the bill to enable us to get to the show in time! It’s wasn’t at all busy so no excuse for such slow service. Lovely decor, nice atmosphere and would go again because menu was lovely but not if I was in a hurry.

We came on Sunday, food was nice but my little girl couldn't eat hers as she was so hot! We did ask for the air con to be out on but it was blowing warm air out. Think we may have enjoyed it a lot more if we weren't all sweating to death.
