Went for my birthday last night and had a great time. The food was lovely and there's a great selection of beers.
We had a great time this evening, the food, drinks and service were fab.
Nothing was to much trouble, I asked for something that they do not sell in advance of the booking and they had this ready for us on the table on arrival.
Thanks for a lovely evening.
Very good food we had was great , good staff and helpful
Really nice food beer a little expensive but every now and then it doesn’t hurt
Lovely place. Good food and friendly staff. Will definitely be returning
It's a great place and the menu is good for my partner lots of veggie dishes
I go to the crossing often, sometimes twice a week. Their menu is wonderful and always changing.
The staff have an eye for detail... which some people mistake as them being slow.
The crossing, to me, is the perfect pub.
Great place for food, table was hen party for 12 people, ample food all cooked to perfection, great gin bar and atmosphere enjoyed it after work
From beginning to end a lovely experience all round. Staff were lovely, food was excellent and the cocktails a must. Will definitely be returning soon !
Food is fresh and amazing , 1st time my other half’s been and couldn’t fault it
Food here is delicious just had the goats curry I would highly recommend this dish. Food is tasty and the portions plentiful will definitely be back A++++
Fantastic food and service for 14 of us tonight at short notice for my Son's 18th Birthday. Very welcoming of my grandchildren and lovely touch with my Son's candle dessert medley, thank you
Booked and pre ordered meals for 8 people then 15 minutes before we were due to eat we added another meal. All meals arrived at the same time and were all delicious particularly loved the Pot au Prince, very well presented. Staff are lovely and hard working, the service was spot on. Great start to a great night xx
Went in on Monday night for our first visit. The place looks great & we thought we were onto a good thing with a pub that would serve food & allow dogs inside. It was alright - and we didn't have it as bad as some of the reviewers on here - but the food was slower than it should've been, considering the number of customers.
My good lady and I were not impressed with the paucity of the chipshop halloumi dish, and we had to ask for the tartare sauce which should've arrived with those.
Our friends ordered a sharer which failed on several counts, from a poorly cooked scotch egg to chips that were way past their best.
So there we were. Thursday night. Having a lovely time. Food was in the most lovely. Cocktails 2 4 1 going down nicely. Waitress comes round. We want to order more cocktails. Sorry the offer finished at 8
When we came in the notice on the wall said 9 pm
They changed it whilst we were there. Won't be coming back.
They forgot our starters then we waited an hour and a half for the main course . After biting into the burgers 3 people realised they had the wrong meals so sent them back . 2 minutes later the same meals were brought back and given back to them but swapped around so they had each other's meal with bites taken out of them so sent them back again . Eventually they brought out 3 more meals by which time everyone else had finished ..The 3 people concerned didn't eat their meals as they tasted as if they had been left in the microwave too long . Also when you order fish and chips you expect chips not potato wedges with skins .
We will not be visiting there again .
Shocking service from the start. Front of house staff are really letting down the kitchen because the food was lovely. Unfortunately the tills and pumps weren't working which can't be helped but the young girls were more interested in chatting at the end of the bar which resulted in part of our order being completely forgotten, waiting far too long to order, over an hour for food to arrive and for things to be cleared. We watched them stand around and chat for about half an hour while people waited to be served and tables were left messy. It simply wasn't busy enough for this degree of poor service. 3rd visit and service gets worse every time
Not impressed with the food. Waitress came to clear up and asked us if everything was ok and we told her that the food we order tasted not right her reply is I will speak with the chef! We could not eat it all and they did absolutely nothing!!! The food wasn’t cheap either!
Lovely pub visited after a family bereavement. Never saw any signs in the carpark about registering your vehicle once in the pub, the staff never mentioned that you couldn't just park in the car park. 1 week later I received a parking charge notice for £60. I was only in the pub for 66 minutes and spent £11.50. Really disappointed such a lovely place has resorted to using such scammers to control the car park. Informed staff who talk to the customers would be much more useful. A sure way to deter customers using your venue. Will never return again no matter how lovely the place was.
