As a kitchen porter you will provide key support to the chefs and the restaurant team to help ensure the smooth running of our kitchen. Experience is not essential however, you must be a team player and be passionate about meeting high standards. Your primary duties as a kitchen porter are to maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and to ensure that the chefs have the tools and equipment they need during service.

Real nice pub you can eat in or out. We ate outside on our last visit because we had a dog with us but it is a dog friendly pub too. A good food and ale range available it comes highly recommended!

Lovely lunch yesterday with excellent food, they redid the chicken dish for me as there was no mention of mushrooms in the menu and it had them in the sauce. I'm allergic to mushroom so they quickly changed my meal fo me and the replacement sauce was lovely. Will definitely visit again

Just called in for a quick drink after a walk along the locks, definitely be calling again but this time it won't just be a drink it will be for food aswell as it looked amazing,staff super friendly a really nice pubxxx

I have been a few times now and I would highly recommend this country pub, lovely ambiance. Brilliant friendly staff. The Sunday roast was amazing. Roast beef cooked to perfection. I booked late but they managed to squeeze my brother and me in. It was quick service, very attentive staff I could have stayed longer for drinks especially after my martini cocktail. 😜🍸Maybe next time. Thank you

Had my son's 30th birthday meal here on the 6th Oct 2018 and I couldn't fault any bit of it fantastic service from day 1 of planning to execution on the night...the staff were absolutely amazing and I know all our guests could not fault any of it the food was fantastic the atmosphere was brilliant I just want to say a massive massive thank you to the staff the manager and the landlady from myself sharon my daughter in law Katy and from my son Ross whom may have been a little late but he loved every minute of it...thank you so much xxx

First visit here. Came to see Roy Bennett perform and decided to make an afternoon of it. I have never been so warmly welcomed in a pub! The landlady, Lynn i think she was called, sorted out a last minute table for the 6 of us. Food was lovely. After our meal she sorted a table in the bar for us close to the artist. Staff were all so pleasant and welcoming and couldnt do enough for us.Will definately return as great atmosphere and perfect host..thank you everyone for a great night x

Been here a few times this year and I can honestly say I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every visit. The staff are so friendly and accommodating and the food is stunning. Can’t wait to visit again

Beautiful pub, lovely and clean everywhere, beautifully designed decor even the loos are lovely!!!! amazingly friendly staff, amazing service, amaaaaaaaaaazing food and to top it off an amaaaaaazing live jazz band as an added unexpected bonus! lovely lovely menu with something for everyone we all loved it this is what a pub should be!!! The food is of an exceptionally high standard, presented beautifully and not ridiculously annoying big portions, portion size just right. So reasonably priced for such a high standard. Thanks so much for accommodating us and not minding us faffing with tables and chairs so we could all sit together and have a good old noisy belly laugh northern family knees up!!!!!! Loved everything!!!!! Cx

Went with family and our labdoodle dog. All made welcome. Made u fuss of the dog and he got bowl of water. Thoughtful.

Our food was very good and reasonable price. Have been going in the Crown for over 40 years. Always enjoyed it. Landlady and staff attentive and polite

I tend to come here on a Sunday for the nut roast - came during the week this week and a bit disappointed in the lack of vegetarian options on the menu - overall though a great pub, very dog friendly!

Went on a Friday lunch time and waited about 45 minutes for our sandwiches/burgers. It was not full, although there were a couple of groups of about 10 in, so seemed a long time to wait for a simple meal. I took my three year old and was made to feel as though I shouldn’t have by one staff member who kept sending disapproving looks. My burger was lovely but far too salty and the chips weren’t great but the actual pub is lovely. I definitely wouldn’t recommend for anyone with children but would be lovely for drinks at nights.

Poor meal and poor service, meal not worth anything like what was being charged have had nice meals here previously somethings gone wrong with quality and service
