Ok place and good music.

An historic building sadly let down by a down market position on Botchergate. Could be so much more, but until the locality is lifted out of the 'lad' drinking culture it will continue to remain just another drinking hole on Carlisle's discount version of 'the strip'.

Great afternoon two weeks ago didn't get the 6ft dark hair girls name

Bit of a dive, toilets are disgusting, however quite a good atmosphere on a Saturday night. The door staff can be a bit arrogant.

The clientele are pre-Neanderthal. The pub itself is magnificent, all wood and mosaicy floors. It WAZ a great place for a pint and a bit of crack. Started getting worse once the manager changed. I think the new one hailed from Raffles or Botch, and invited all the walking abortions in.
The landlord about 15 years agan was a really nice chap who kept his beers in perfect nick.
