We’ve been hit with the lurgy this week and it’s the littlest‘s turn today 😷

Diary of a Daisy Teacher: Day 8
Today has been an emotional day 😭 My big boy started at his new pre-school today! He’s been going to a childminder and a forest school nursery for one day a week for about a year but this move has meant a brand new pre-school with a brand new uniform, brand new people and brand new experiences.
The love you feel for your children is all-encompassing. In my old job as a primary school teacher, I never understood why people used to get upset when... their little one started school; after all, I knew they were always fine and had a great day 👍🏻
But what I never appreciated was the history that had come before. All the nights sat comforting them, the bond created from feeding and caring and loving, the little things you find funny together, all the time spent together that is now cut short as you hand them over to a stranger.
I never appreciated the all-encompassing love between that small person and that grown-up; that love that leaves you shedding a tear in the car as they navigate their way through a new routine for the first time.
He went in with tears in his eyes and came out with a huge smile. He’d even written his whole name all by himself!
I’m so glad the first day is done, for both our sakes 💜

Daisy Birthing has returned to KNUTSFORD and is available to book NOW!🙌🏻
Classes will be held on Wednesdays starting 27th March at Mere Day Nursery.
Who are Daisy Birthing classes for?
... Anyone who is 14 weeks pregnant or more. Our classes are suitable for everyone whether you are pregnant with your first or your third, have done any yoga before or have any medical conditions. We welcome all!
How do the classes work?
Terms run in 6 weeks with new mums joining at the start of each term. They are 90 minutes per week with each class covering the labour journey, yoga-based movements & breathing techniques, and each week ends with a blissful relaxation.
Do I just do one term?
If you like, or you can repeat terms all the way until your due date!

FAMILY TIME 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
We had planned to go to the beach today but illness has struck so instead we’ve had a lazy family day.
... Sometime it can feel like a waste when you’ve only worn your comfies, napped and drunk copious cups of chai lattes ☕️
But actually, these can be the best days. We’ve spent quality time as a family, laughed at funny films, lit the fire 🔥 and Henry has impressed us with his drawing skills 😊
If you need a lazy day when parenting feels like so much all the time, do it and don’t feel like you’ve wasted a day 💜

SELF CARE Sometimes, just once in a while, you need to take time just for YOU. When you become a mum, naturally everything you do and think and feel is focused on your little one(s). But you’re still the person you were before (even if it’s only a little part of you now) and it’s ok to take for you.
... I bought some new pjs today that I’d wanted for a while. I don’t need them but they make me feel good so I did it! 🙌🏻 Take time for you, whether it’s a bath with candles and music, a drink in the pub with a friend or buying yourself a little something you’ve wanted for a while 💜 #newmum #motherhood #parenting #knutsford #altrincham
