We won〙t let the weather dampen our 〘spirits〙. The Devvy Gin festival is on!! All day today and tomorrow. With over 40 delicious gins to try, and tapas on offer from 1pm-7pm, AND... The George street ragtime band playing from 3.30pm.... Let the fun be-GIN!!!

Holidays are over, kids are back at school tomorrow, so why not test the old grey matter tonight with our monthly quiz. Maximum of 6 per team, ôÈ2 per person. 50% of the takings to charity, the rest split between the 3 winning teams. ޟ˜

Our Gin festival is fast approaching, and as there will be 40+ gins to sample, we thought it might be a good idea to have a little something to soak them up! So we are offering Tapas sharing boards from 1pm-7pm each day. Choose three of the following dishes for ôÈ10, each board is accompanied by fresh bread. Chorizo sausage. Selection of dressed olives. Halloumi and roasted veg. Chicken with lemon and garlic.... Potato bravas. The forecast is set to be good (fingers crossed) we can〙t wait!

Saturday 8th September-Sunday 9th September, it〙s Gin festival time at the Devvy!! The lovely folk from 〘The spirit of Gin〙 will be here with some delicious specialty gins for you to sample. We also have tapas sharing boards on offer. And last but by no means least we have The George street ragtime band here from 3.30 each day. The forecast looks good next weekend, so why not pop along and make the most of the sunshine in our lovely garden with a gin.. or two....or three....ޟ˜Š

Unfortunately there will be no BBQ at the beer festival, as the weather is just to wet to get it going. 㘿ÿ¡ big apologies. But.. the forecast is good for tomorrow, so BBQ looks good to go, and we also have live music brought to us by the fantastic JBT from 4-7. ޟ˜ã˜€ÿ¡

Well our beer festival is well under way, and while the sun seems a bit reluctant to show itself, we're here to brighten your day with a fabulous array of real ale and ciders, we also have a delicious BBQ on the go too! We have a fantastic array of real ales and ciders for you to try. Nos〙 Nosh will be here on the Sat,Sun,Mon with another delicious B.B.Q. And to top the weekend off we have the fabulous J.B.T playing live music 4-7pm on Monday 27th. So why not give your taste buds a treat and join us for the last bank holiday of the year!

We just wanted to say a BIG thank you to everyone who attended the Devvy quiz last night. What a fantastic atmosphere! And because of your generosity we managed to raise ôÈ346 in aid of Teenage Cancer trust. A big thank you as always to Jim and Moira for setting and hosting a fun and informative quiz. And lastly we would like to wish Paul, Gavin and Kieran the best of luck with this years Dumball rally, continuing to raise even more money for the Teenage Cancer trust. They〙ll be a cold beer or two in the Devvy upon your return gentlemen.ޟ˜ŠÞŸ£

Well it look likes we have to wait a little longer for it to come home.㘿ÿ¡ Well done to Gareth Southgate and his team. We have thoroughly enjoyed hosting the matches, and Wow! what an atmosphere!! We will be showing the 3rd place play off and the final this weekend, with a little Wimbledon thrown in for good measure. 㚧ÿ¡ÞŸŽƒ

Well apparently it〙s coming home! And as it〙s imminent arrival is getting everyone a tad excited we thought we had better prepare! So for the semi final on Wednesday and the final on Sunday, we have a canopy in the garden and a 65 inch T.V on the decking, to create more space for more excited fans! Next weeks quiz night, has been put back one week from the Monday 2nd July to Monday 9th July, owing to the fact that there are no Football matches on the 9th, and (depending on Thursday〙s outcome) England may well be playing on the 2nd. Very welcoming public house. Well thought out selection of beers and largers. A great selection of single malt whisky. A great selection of wines red or white . A public house that I would recommend to anyone.

Very nice back street pub. Good ale choices and very pleasant environment.

The perfect local pub! Fabulous hosts and a warm and friendly atmosphere. There are too few places like this - so count yourselves lucky, Bedfordians! Highly recommended :-)

First time I'd been there after watching Star Wars with son Alistair Coombes. Beer ( I had Youngs Winter Warmer) is excellent, nice warm fire in the grate and friendly, helpful landlord. Recommended without hesitation!

Fabulous place with friendly service. Great beers and wines, and a fantastic garden to sit and chat with friends. Traditional yet homely - fantastic! Additionally, My 18 year old daughter got separated from friends here and the landlord chatted with her, put her at ease, and kept an eye on her until she could be picked up by her family. We need more places like this in Bedford. Fantastic!

A good selection of well kept beer by the ever welcoming landlords Ronnie and Rebecca. Great programme of events including the monthly Quiz Night (first Monday of the Month) with probably the most handsome Quizmaster in England ;-)

Went to the live music night last nite ...had a great night. The pub hasnt changed much from when i use to drink in it about 34yrs ago...great atmosphere & friendly. Look forward to more evenings there
