What an absolute gem! We took mum there for a birthday lunch after finding it on a google search and it was lovely. The set menu was unbelievably reasonable and, having chosen the fish & chips, I can honestly say it was the best I’ve ever had. The restaurant itself was lovely, clean and had a good atmosphere. The staff were really friendly and attentive And good fun. Definitely going back and would thoroughly recommend.

Went to Dining Rooms Saturday for my other half’s birthday. The food was amazing as was the service everyone had a fantastic evening. Thanks to everyone at the Dining Rooms who made it so special! Will definitely be going back x

We have been going to the Dining Room for a long time. We have always enjoyed the food and the service is 1st class. Even though it's bring your own wine on a Tuesday which makes the evening even better value. It fails to let you down. The service and food are 100%. We have recommended friends and they love it so much they have also recommended it. So keep up the excellent service and food you provide. We call it " our special place. Thanks

Sixteen of us ate here on Easter Sunday for a double birthday celebration, the majority of our party had a roast dinner which was cooked to perfection.

We couldn't have asked for better service during the booking and on the day, thank you for accommodating us. We will look forward to booking again soon!

Our most recent visit was for Mother’s Day, we always find the food delicious and the staff couldn’t be more attentive and go out of their way to ensure everyone is happy. They are always lovely with the children too. We’ll be back soon .....

One of our best restaurants, lovely staff, very comfortable, wonderful service , good value and most of all , delicious food.

We as a couple or family have eaten here many times and have never had any reason to complain or criticise.

Lovely meal last Saturday night. Great service and very reasonable. Loved the round table. My only criticism that I can think of is that the courses came up a little to fast for us. But that just gave us more time to enjoy the company over a few bottles of very nice wine.

Lovely food, great service, as always. The Saturday Night menu is excellent - something for everyone, my 85 year old Dad and 15 year old daughter both enjoyed it. I went for the Turkish platter starter, confit salmon main, and deconstructed lemon pie - all of which were fabulous, and I’d gladly have exactly the same again tomorrow.

Small word of warning: it does get loud in there. Shutters instead of curtains, and a “shiny” finish to the seats mean that there is nothing to absorb the sound. It’s a rightly popular venue, and as a result, the noise levels can be high.

Lovely Sunday roast with my family. All cooked to perfection. I had the roast turkey and others in my party had roast beef and pork belly. Everyone had a lovely meal. Portions were plentiful and we were offered extra meat, potatoes and vegetables. Nothing was too much trouble. Staff were friendly, polite and attentive to all of our requests. Food was good value for money and drink prices were about average. The only thing that was extremely overpriced was my soda water and lime at £2.45 a glass. It's only 50p in the pub. So I stuck to tap water as I was driving and wasn't prepared to pay that for fizzy water and a drop of lime.

It was our first visit to your amazing restaurant, we had a great meal, the food service and quality was top class, we don't live locally about 50 miles away but I'm sure we'll be back �

Excellent service with a smile , food was up to the standard you would expect , i had the steak which was cooked to perfection , and the brownie and ice cream dessert was shared , although I ate most of it , very reasonable for a three course meal with wine and a glass of prosecco , £80 , def be going back soon , English food at its best

Celebrated my birthday here last week with family and friends we had a great time the restaurant made us so welcome, they were very attentive and the food was wonderful, every one in our party said they really enjoyed themselves. What more could I ask. Thank you The Dining Room.

The food and service was very good. We were there for Sunday lunch, which has a special menu. I would have liked to have had a wider selection to choose from.

But overall a very good experience.

The customer service is brilliant. The food is nice but it wasn't wow. Have had similar food at the Boatyard which is fantastic!

We were here for a hen night. I am so glad that the company was good because the service was terrible. The mirror fell off the wall and hit me on the head. The waitress said it was ok because it was plastic. The waitress then said she would get the manager and he wasnt even in. We left our numbers and nobody got back to us. We had to ring them. Very unprofessional.

Having eaten here 3 times in the past i thought this was a good choice for a birthday celebration. How Wrong could i be! I experienced some of the worst service i had ever received! All focus seemed to be on a large party in the restaurant which meant we was completely ignored and not even given a courtesy check to see that we were happy with our main courses! 3 of our party of 4 had ordered the beef wellington and was advised that the fillet steak inside would be medium rare to medium. When we received the wellingtons the steak was overcooked with no blood but instead we had raw pastry! Having sat there for 10 minutes and trying to attract the waitresses attention we were asked if we would like another starter. We declined and was given desert menus and was left with these for 30 minutes without anyone returning to the table. When we finally got the attention of the waitress she walked to our table and cleared our glasses even-though we was gonna order another bottle of wine. In summary we have received shocking and disgusting service on my fathers birthday. We left feeling dissatisfied and hungry still. We proceeded to go home and order pizza and drink our own wine!
