Went for Sunday lunch very good service fabulous food clean friendly highly recommend good options on the menu Sunday lunches they offer to portions sizes small or large i opted for small it was just enough and I had room for a pudding to great highly recommend ๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝxx

My sister and I visited last weekend for her birthday and I treated her to Sunday lunch. We both had the beef and I must say that it was the best Sunday roast either of us have ever had. Every mouthful was delicious! The pub is warm, welcoming and dog friendly. We will definitely be back!
Lovely anniversary lunch there yesterday. Staff friendly, food delicious, great background music (Jake Bugg) and a nice walk in the nearby countryside afterwards to work off some of the calories!
Had a great birthday lunch here yesterday. Great selection of beer, delicious menu, attentive staff. We did not wait long for our food to arrive, and it was piping hot when it arrived. Lovely location, will definitely visit again.
Food as good as always, excellent staff who work very hard to ensure a good experience all round, looking forward to the 2 night stay we have booked in early December
First visit & will definitely be back. A gorgeous pub with a really genuine, warm, authentic feel (including a proper roaring fire ๏ฟฝ).
The food stole the show though. Our group had a burger, Thai beef curry and steak & ale pie. They were all fantastic, with generous portions and very reasonable prices.
There are signs telling you to order at the bar, but we didnโt get chance, as the superb front of house team beat us to it. Iโve had worse service in much more expensive places!
Canโt wait to come back.
First time visitors and we'll definitely be back. Lamb roast was amazing and kids meals were great too. Love the fact we can bring our dog too ๐๐ฝ
Fantastic overnight stay at this busy pub! Lovely clean room with generous bathroom. Very tasty Sunday roast with the biggest yorkie puds I've seen! Breakfast was lovely too, all staff were helpful and polite! Thank you for a great time.
Exceptional food and so many tempting dishes on the menu. Will be back very soon to try the ones we didn't have this time!
Dropped in after a visit to Jodrell Bank on Saturday lunch time. Staff were very friendly and attentive. We had a selection of starters instead of a starter and main... The food was fab...clearly freshly prepared and delicious...We will make this a lunch stop enroute to the airport...
Returned again for a roast dinner, we had the roast beef and pork and the small portion was more than enough, portion sizing is good and so Iโll the best place Iโve found that do a decent homemade roast! We will be back....
I have eaten many times here & could never fault the food or service but last night 21st September I was very disappointed with my meal, I so hope it was a one off ๐ฉ
I had the hot dog, very tasty, Deb had the cheese and pickle sandwich also very tasty. Lots of different beers on tap, couldn't go wrong. Staff very polite and welcoming.
When we eventually got our food it was excellent. Lovely roast dinners. The beef was amazing. It may have been because it was Mother's Day and really busy but the service was poor. They should have had more staff on. We booked a table for 8 people at 2.15 but it was 3 before we were seated. We ordered the mezzes for 7 and one mother wanted soup. We'd finished the mezzes ( delicious by the way) before the soup came and then they didn't clear the table for half an hour. Another long wait before the main meal came.
I'd certainly go back for the food but on a less busy day. A word of advice when it's busy ... PUT MORE STAFF ON!
Great food when we finally got it. I know it was a large group(13) but we booked for 1pm and we got our 1st course at 2.30pm after the 3 children had been served and had eaten theirs. We finally left at 5.30pm we were there to celebrate my mother and father in law who had passed away. Like I said the food is fantastic but the service was slow ๐
Stayed last night- room was adequate but shower was extremely noisy, blue cleaning paper was left on window sill and it would have been nice to have a small mirror by the sink to apply make up ect. Food was great in the evening however for breakfast there wasn't much of a continental choice other than toast and porridge.
I am disgusted that you will be welcoming the hunt on the 30th of December. Shame on you for supporting such cruelty. I will never be coming back to this place!!!
