Really liking the new look in the restaurant. It's amazing how the art on the wall can change the feeling of the room. This collection is just right for the summer, come along and have a look and maybe treat yourself to some new affordable art.

The Bar flooring is now completed. Thank you for bearing with us whilst it was done. I think it was definitely worth it. I hope you like it. Big thanks to Dave and his team for working around our opening times and doing such a fantastic job.
Another batch of Beef & Ale pie on the go, it’s making the pub smell beautiful!

Went for Sunday roast last week, portion size was good, veg was lovely. The beef was a bit fatty and needed a steak knife to cut but was tasty beef. The gravy was delicious and loved it so will return for a second visit. Tip for you please get mint sauce in as I love it with every roast as do a lot of people
We had such a lovely family meal at the Drake Manor Inn last night thank you to Mandy and all the team. The food was amazing with huge portions! The service was excellent from start to finish with such a warm and cosy atmosphere on a cold winter's night - a perfect 10!
Warm friendly welcome, good choice of real ales and hearty good quality pub grub.
Three of us had the gammon ham eggs chips and peas. Lovely tender succulent gammon and deep orange egg yokes- left a few of the chips though only because of the generous portions.
We’d go out of our way to re visit.
Visited the charming Drake Manor at lunchtime today. Such very tasty Parsnip & Cumin soup and warm crusty roll, looking forward to visiting again on the 21st December for the Mummers play and Morris Dancing from Lodestone Border.. I will not hesitate in returning again. Such friendly staff in such a quaint, hospitable village pub
Thankyou for the fantastic burgers we had tonight loved them made an extra special midweek treat through entering your Facebook competition.
Thank you to the team at Drake Manor what a lovely evening food was great atmosphere welcoming thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Lovely old fashioned village pub, wonderful food and lovely staff. Recommended.
Lovely Sunday roast with the family. Two of us are gluten free, but this was no issue at all. All very tasty
Lovely Sunday Roast yesterday. Party of three, we all enjoyed our meal. Thank you.
Last night we enjoyed the Autumn taster menu. The butternut squash and chilli veloute was delicious and then perfectly cooked scallops with hazelnut and white chocolate sauce followed by a trio of amazing pork and then fig and blackberry tart and cinnamon ice cream- yum yum. Mouthwatering and presented beautifully. Just as good as any 5* restaurant but a fraction of the cost. Couldn't fault it .
Just got home from our third visit to The Drake manor inn, and yet again it was fantastic! Such a genuine warm welcome from the staff and we quickly for seated into a cosy corner. We ordered three of the the trio of sausages and mash and one mushroom tagliatelle. All dishes were absolutely delicious, the sausages were incredible, and the portion sizes were so generous! We then all had the chocolate cheesecake with the peanut butter ice cream, just wow!! Cannot recommend this place enough. My mum and partner are even going to look into staying one Sunday so they can enjoy the music night too!
So Thankyou for a lovely evening, from 4 very very happy customers. We'll see you again soon!
Just finished our burgers for burger night. The food is delicious and the takeaway option is so handy. Thank you for another fabulous dinner
Had lunch here today. Beautiful food served with a smile. The lamb was gorgeous. One of our party said the gammon was the best he had ever had! Cosy lovely little pub in a very pretty village. Highly recommend
Fantastic Sunday lunch today. Great value for money.
Will definitely be returning
Fantastic New Year Dinner, great service from the Team, food was fab, thanks to you all for making our New Year celebrations special.
Exceptional service, food and welcome. I booked a table for my birthday, having read excellent reviews about the food, the food was exceptional and exceeded the brilliant reviews, I can highly recommend, but on top of that, the service and the welcome we received was effortlessly friendly, we were left with the feeling that everyone who served us genuinely wanted us to enjoy every minute of our time there. I cannot thank you enough for helping make my birthday a day to remember. We will definitely be visiting again.
Came here Monday for some lunch. Food was excellent. Cooked perfectly. My partner is a chef and can be critical at times but he had absolutely no complaints. Staff were all extremely polite and friendly which put us at ease. When going to a pub like this, I usually worry about how "local" it is but we were welcomed and it made us feel comfortable. I would definitely recommend coming here. It also helped that the weather was beautiful too which meant we could sit out in the lovely beer garden
Beautiful setting & great food! Our waiter was fab & even though it was really busy and we could only have our table for 45 minutes we still had a lovely evening and look forward to going back.
5 of us popped in for lunch after visiting Buckland Abbey today and it was lovely. My Mum and I had a crab baguette, which came with salad and crisps and it was really tasty. My husband had the gammon, eggs and chips and he said it was really great. Thick bits of tender gammon and eggs cooked to perfection. My Dad had the steak and ale pie and I had major food envy! Loads of steak in a rich gravy and 'the best chips ever!' My mother-in-law had the fish and chips which was fair size too! The fish better was really light and not at all greasy. Well done for pleasing all of the people all of the time today. Will definitely be returning
