Went for tea here last night after visiting Hamsterly Forest and the food was amazing. Chips were home made and delicious and the dukes chicken was unreal. Really friendly staff who fit 7 of us and 2 dogs in for tea. Would 100% recommend and will definitely be coming back

Visited today for dinner. Food was lovely. We all really enjoyed it. Nice friendly welcome. Good menu choices and specials on offer.

I opted for the chicken nachos as with being pregnant I really wasn't sure what I fancied. But I must say they were beautiful.

The beef fillet is cooked to perfection! The home cooked chips simply superb. The food here is to an extremely high standard. Excellent service from the young ladies and the chef needs a medal for producing beautiful food. Highly recommended!

Staying in Weardale for a few nights and found this place. Excellent friendly staff -very helpful. Arrived on Steak night so had the ribeye steak and wine offer. Most impressed that my husband got what he asked for - a blue steak. This is the first place which has provided just that.

Me, my partner and our little girl went for Sunday Dinner Today and it was absolutely Beautiful! Great friendly service, our drinks were with us very quickly after ordering them and we were invited to go for our carvery as soon as we were ready. All round lovely experience and a very tasty dinner. Thank you.x

From the moment we arrived and a very friendly welcome we had a great night here. Excellent service and the most delicious food including THE Best fillet steak IŌĆÖve had in a long time. Highly recommended.

Called in Friday night for a bite to eat. Lovely, friendly staff found us a great table in the bar and also fixed up a water bowl for our labrador.

Fantastic food at very reasonable prices, the fillet steak was the best I've had for a long time. If ever in the area again will definately return, great pub, lovely staff, fab food.*****

I had to give it 1 star as thatŌĆÖs the lowest I can give IŌĆÖd give a 0 if I could. We got a nice greeting, the service was nonexistent. There was five of us four of us got our meal and was told my parents would be out in a second, five minutes later she was still sat without her food while the rest of us wer eatin. I got a stake with peppercorn source and it tasted like gravy. Never had anything like before. Would never go back.
