The Dukeries Construction Centre was officially opened back in May 2008 by Government Minster, Ed Balls, as part of a 1. 6 million pound project.
The centre was designed by Jackson Design Associates to complement the energy conscious ethos of the Sherwood Energy Village and has been built using low carbon technologies and is environmentally friendly with a low carbon footprint, including solar water heating, grey water recycling and the installation of a wind turbine to support the lighting.

Currently in 2016, The Dukeries Construction Centre is delivering;

1) WJEC Level 1 /2 Awards in Constructing the Built Environment ( Year 10 & Year 11) (Both internal and external learners)

2) Level 2 Diploma in Building Maintenance, Multi- Trade Repair and Refurbishment Operations (16 + )

3) Level 2 Diploma in Painting and Decorating

4) Level 3 Diploma in Painting and Decorating
