Really great food at a good price. Friendly and welcoming inc dogs plus a big log burner and beer garden. We'll be back.
Amazing pie and beer. Lovely cosy pub with very friendly staff. Perfect after a long day on the hills
Recommend dinner, rather than lunch. Pies and burgers were excellent, as were the veggies. Cooked to perfection.
Limited opening hours at the moment expensive compared to other public houses in the area. This was not posted as a negative post please check Simon's website for up to date opening hours. Hence why the post. If you want a relaxing atmosphere, good selection of local ales and food still worth a vist if passing. If you want food check the web site for availability and booking.
Friendly staff and nice decor but just let down by the food. All looks reheated and overpriced. Shame it's the only 'restaurant!' but I suppose if there's no competition they can get away with mediocre grub. But staff very nice. Could do with some louder music :)
Great food and the staff are first class can't wait to return
Visited after a trip to Grizedale. Tried the ploughman's lunch with roast beef - really good. Has a nice beer and soft drink selection.
Friendly village pub catering for locals and incomers alike. Great atmosphere, good ales, great team.
A nice pint, portions of food could have been bigger but very good. Open fires and friendly staff
