The Elephant Boatyard is the home of traditional wooden boat building on the River Hamble. We specialise in custom built yachts and the restoration & repair of classic wooden boats.

The Elephant Boatyard is a family run business in Old Bursledon, nestled in the sheltered waters on the western side the River Hamble.
We are an efficient, well equipped and responsive yard that has a friendly and approachable team. At the heart of our business is a team of master craftsmen with an in-depth knowledge of traditional boatbuilding techniques
