Wow! The Elms has had a make over and it’s incredible! The staff are lovely and the food is out of this world !

I can honestly say, I had the best cauliflower cheese soup in the whole world !!! And just when I thought it couldn’t get any better ... it was served with the most incredible gluten free bread !!! I was officially in heaven and I want to go back and do it all over again x

What a lovely day!! We arrived at the spa at 10am. The staff were lovely! The spa was super quiet and so beautiful! We also had treatments and afternoon tea! I also had a full body massage by a lady named Katie, she was amazing. I have had many massages and that was by far the best one! My body feels incredible � thank you for such a lovely day!! We will be returning �

We were made to feel so welcome from the minute we stepped in the door,the food was delicious,especially the gluten free for my husband,the staff were so friendly ,many thanks we will be going back xxx�

We arranged cream tea at the Elms for 18 (including 3 children) for my mums birthday. We were given an exclusive room... with everything that we needed.... including diabetics scones (that were kindly provided, even though i only mentioned in passing about my fathers diabetes)

The children felt comfortable having their own space, and we bought along a photographer to take snaps, of which we were able to use all the grounds for back drop.

It was an amazing afternoon... at a very reasonable cost..

The best service from the staff. The hotel is beautiful inside and out and WOW the food!!!

Such a beautiful place to spend Christmas. We arrived on Christmas Eve to such a warm welcome, nothing was too much trouble for the amazing team of staff at The Elms. We found a gift hamper in our rooms and a range of Elemis products at our disposal during our stay. A couple of long, relaxing soaks in our roll top bath � complete with Elemis bubble bath...just what the Dr ordered after a manic December. The food, the attention to detail and the fantastic team that work here have made our Christmas so lovely. Nothing has been too much trouble & every detail has been considered. If you want to go away with your dog/s then this is the hotel for you. Everyone is welcome. George, the resident cat takes his seat at reception, or wherever is warmest.....don’t forget to bring him a packet of Dreamies, you’ll have a friend for life!! All in all I cannot recommend this hotel enough.....the new owner since July, told us that there are still a few more plans before the refurbishment is complete. I can’t imagine how perfect it will be when it’s finished. Try it for yourself, you won’t be disappointed �, we’ll definitely be back.

My husband and I went for an afternoon tea. Although we were half an hour early, didn't cause a problem. We were welcomed like old friends and after a walk round the garden were shown into the library, where our tea was served by a very happy young lady. Sandwiches and cakes were really nice and tasty along with a bottomless coffee pot. Would definitely return

prior to booking in - fabulous room with roll top bath - lovely sheets and fluffy towels and toiletries. Fresh milk for tea and coffee. Dinner was superb lovely menu excellent chef - breakfast was freshly cooked and excellent too. Staff very customer service focused - all made our stay exceptional and a complimentary plate of homemade sweets with our drinks and happy anniversary icing - thank you so much �

Just back from a lovely spa break weekend at the Elms. What a lovely weekend! The staff couldn't be more helpful and nothing was too much trouble! The cream tea and evening meal were both very yummy!



A big thank you must go to Martin and Daniel who spent an hour helping dig my car out of the snow! Nothing was too much trouble and they really did go the extra mile! We will be back.

I booked an afternoon tea spa day for 8. The staff were very efficient and organised. They called me prior to our date to make sure everything was to our liking. When we arrived we were given a tour of the facilities and our table was already prepared with our gowns and towels etc. Everyone had the deep tissue full body masssge which was awesome and we all enjoyed the facilities before lunch. The afternoon tea was fabulous and presented beautifully. And we then retired for the remainder of the day to the jacuzzi and sauna. Overall a very enjoyable day very relaxing and I hope it won’t be too long before we’re back again. The only criticism I can make is that the coffe bar was not manned the entire time so had to wait to order coffee on arrival.

Decided to book a Spa Day at this beautiful hotel that I was married in over 20 years ago, as there was no Spa then, and I wanted to see what it was all about. I loved it from the moment I walked through the door and felt extremely relaxed and well looked after. If booking a massage then I can highly recommend Sophie. She gave one of the best massages I have in many years, even those I've had at Ragdale Hall! Also, a big thank you to Sam in the Reception area whose customer services skills were excellent, and nothing was too much trouble for her. I will certainly be back.

Came for a spa day with Kim. I had a hot stone massage with Dani and Kim had a frangpani wrap with Emily. Both amazing, lovely girls. Can't wait to return, highly recommend �

Absolutely loved it!

My partner brought me a spa day gift for my birthday. Has took me 4 months to use it but never will I wait that long again.

Myself and friend arrived to such a stunning place. We was greeted by lovely welcoming staff. Who were more then welcome to change anything we needed if they could. Gave us a tour of the facilities, and supplied us with gown, towel and slippers. There were a few other people on the day but was peaceful. Spent some time in the swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room and experienced the African rain forest shower. Had an early lunch that I thought looked pricey but was amazing, so was well worth it. Had an afternoon tea with sandwiches, cakes and tea. As it was a hot day the staff (lotty) was great to change our hot drinks for cold drinks with out a charge difference. And to wrap our cakes up we couldn't finish so I could treat my children when I got home.

And to end the experience we had a 30 min back massage and 30 min facial. Mine done by Emily. Which I have to say was amazing to the point i could of happily slept for a few hour with how relaxed she made me. And would definitely recommend.

Both me and my friend had an amazing experience and will definitely be doing it again and hopfully making it regular occasion. ���

I surprised my wife for her 50th. A bit devious as her best friends joined us too for the weekend. As we had our dog, we had Hope Cottage it was beautiful although the low beams even at 5ft 8 caught me out. We arrived Friday 3rd August 18. Offered loads of help to unpack the car etc, the staff were in on the act. We didn't get our complimentary cocktail ( it's August 4th we are still here until tomorrow so it may happen yet) .

Food was lovely and our dog joined us in the bar for the evening meal. The grounds are beautiful and so quiet.

Bit of an issue with a hornets nest but that got dealt with as soon as I mentioned it and staff warned guests of some angry bees on the side wall. They were more busy looking for the pollen on the castor oil plant.

Sat here now listening to the birds and the fountain. 4 out of 5 from me. And the weekend isn't over.

I love the Elms, setting just beautiful, not enough pool side beds if there's a hen crowd in.And had trouble with the locking the lockers just tedious wouldn't lock then wouldn't open and a few other guests was having the same problem, but overall wouldn't put me of coming back as the treatments are fabulous and so is the food and staff,just a couple of tweets and it would be perfect 👍

The staff were very polite (especially the therapist) and loved the steam room and rainforest shower. However, the swimming pool wasn't fit for swimming as it was full of screaming children, which isn't great when you go to a spa to relax. Also, we waited 10 minutes for service to checkout and the waitress gave me a beef sandwich when I clearly stated that I did not eat red meat . Therefore, a 3 star rating is deserved .

Visited the spa today, staff were very helpful and polite, however disappointed in the amount of children splashing and screaming in the pool, we booked a spa day to relax. Upon booking this should be stated over the phone that there will be children able to use the facilities. If I knew this prior to booking I wouldn’t have booked here. This lets the spa down.
