I cannot recommend the Elves and the Shoemaker highly enough. The owners really do go out of their way to offer an excellent service and they have just made my 8 year old son extremely happy. Would highly recommend.

Having spent a small fortune in a certain well-known shoe chain on school shoes over the last year, only for each pair to be declared excruciatingly uncomfortable after just a couple of weeks, I took a fellow mum's recommendation to try this shop.



We were served by Kate, who instantly picked up on my five year old's sensory issues. Despite having other customers to attend to, she was patient, understanding and accommodating, never making us feel as if we were taking up too much time, or being difficult.



We left with a new pair of school shoes and a pair of winter boots. More expensive than the aforementioned chain, but both beautifully made and loved by my son, so worth every penny.

First shoe shop experience for our son. Lovely welcome and kind helpful clerk took good care of our son, ensuring the his first pair of shoes fit well and he could walk in them well. Will be going again for his future show needs.

Fabulous shop - for once the pain of buying new school shoes was not painful at all! Great customer service, the ladies in the shop were knowledgable, efficient and lovely with my children. The choice of shoes was very good and in particular my daughter was able to find some sturdy shoes that may actually last but were also stylish and pretty (very important when you are nearly 10!!). Prices were very fair too - not a lot different to the popular High Street chain but the whole experience and the shoes were far superior. We will definitely return.
