We had to book the hotel last minute for work and after a very stressful and long day, being greeted by Jonno the night porter made everything better.



What a top guy - he made us laugh and was without a doubt the nicest hotel staff I have ever met. I cannot put into words how grateful we were to be welcomed by a smiling face and light hearted conversation!



The other staff members were friendly and pleasant also and the views were spectacular.

Facilities at the hotel are excellent and the price was exceptional for the quality of the hotel. Excellent breakfast! Just what we needed!



Headed here for work, but I will be certain to head here for a holiday in the future!

Upon arrival we wasn't sure about our room so management quickly identified our requirements and moved us to a room which was perfect for our stay. The staffs excellent customer service did not stop there either... As we got engaged a year ago in this very hotel the staff were more than happy to help deliver drinks and a special card to my wife as a surprise not to mention leaving flowers & chocolates on our bed. It's a lovely hotel but the kindness of the staff is what really makes it! Very enjoyable stay - thank you.

This hotel is perfect, easy parking facilities, wifi ,swimming pool, it's clean fresh and has friendly staff

The room is decorated well and homely

(not like your average travel lodge ) which is a bonus,

I found everything is all in one place and it's easy to walk into town and come back and relax in the sauna,

I would happily come back here and would recommend to everybody

Lovely clean hotel. Fantastic sea view from the room. Great staff. Within easy walking distance to Newquay. The kids love the pool, sauna and jacuzzi.

Just got home from my stay at the Esplanade, this was our second time staying here for my birthday. We had the "best room" and I must say the view from the balcony and the roll top bath was amazing! The room had been decorated for my birthday with rose petals, chocolates, birthday card and big bouquet of flowers as requested by my partner. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food we had from the Pebble bar was fantastic. We used all the facilitates and had a very relaxing stay.

I'm going to start by saying I never leave reviews for anything. I cannot stress enough how accommodating the hotel and staff where for us and our 18 month old son. Lunch was bought to the soft play area for us away from the bar and restaurant so my son could continue to play and we could eat in peace. The evening dinner was served for us earlier so we could get back for the bed time routine. Portion size on the evening meal was huge but there is no loss of quality. Breakfast buffet was brilliant. Fresh towels in the swimming pool and sauna. Hotel itself was very clean, tidy and well presented. Would and will stay again without a doubt �

I was so impressed with this hotel. We went down as a family. Myself, my husband and 2 young girls. I cannot express how amazing this hotel was for price, location & service.



The staff were so friendly & nothing was too much trouble. It was lovely that there are toys to play with around the lobby area and buckets & spades to borrow for the beach which was literally across the road. The rooms were a good standard, very clean & spacious. The pool was smart & very clean with towels to use.



We will definetly be going back in the future!

Fabulous hotel. Staff always so friendly and attentive. Breakfast and Dinner both amazingly yummy. Stayed many times and will stay again without a doubt. Views are amazing, the beach is right on your doorstep - what more could you want. A perfect family break anytime of the year. Carry on the good work!

Everytime I'm in Newquay I love to have meal here the lady chef is fantastic and Cater for all my food allergies the fillet steak was amazing as always. I've stayed here before and always happy with the sea view and rooms.

Currently staying here. Laying in bed looking at the stormy sea as I write. Can highly recommend the Quicksilver room especially the jacuzzi bath.

This is our second stay. Needless to say there will be a third stay on the horizon.

Currently staying here now with my sister and our kids. We have all loved our stay plenty to do for the kids, the facilities and food have been great. Best hotel in Newquay...1st came in 2010 and we come back every year...sometimes twice a year....amazing views!!

After wasting time with a client over at the Wharf we walked out and came here. Great decision. Quick friendly service, great food and beer while sitting in the sun.

Keep doing what you’re doing because your mates on the wharf are begging people to walk out and go to you.

Been here many times now, never been disappointed! See you next time.

Absolutely lovely stay. Beautiful room overlooking Fristal beach. Card chocolates and towels made into a baby elephant � for my husbands 50th lovely gesture by the Esplanade team. Will definitely be back.

Very good child friendly and really close to beach

Stayed here for a party night recently and had a great night. Food was good, only complaint is that it would have been good to have been offered a tea or coffee after meal. Breakfast selection is very good.

Room was clean and comfortable. Swimming pool was warm but i didn't like the way the floor of pool was layed and jacquzzi could be better but overall ok.

Staff and service both excellent

This hotel was a disappointment really! The communal areas were filthy, the windows needed cleaning and the common areas needed vacuuming. The chairs and sofas were all filthy and needed cleaning. There were stains on all chairs we saw. The hotel was full and there were a lot of noisy guests, we found the room upstairs noisy until 11pm and then the room next door noisy till 00:30! Then one of the other neighbours woke us up at 7am. All round the sound proofing is really bad for a family hotel! The lamps in the bedroom were caked in dust and needed a good clean! The meal selection in the restaurant was not great, considering the location, we were expecting fresh local fish but we were disappointed. It was impossible to find a healthy balanced selection from the menu.
