Thank you for hosting our party this afternoon. Our party of 30+ was catered for perfectly in the function room.

Buffet was lovely, so much better than the beige party food we were offered at other local pubs, everyone had a great time.

User

Relaxed atmosphere, great live music ..... and needed to go ‘no slcohol’ due to driving, so appreciated the top quality tea and coffee

User

Lovely place to relax, meet new people and have a good time

User

Lovely atmosphere and staff. The snacky food I've had is fab!!! Highly recommend

User

Love the changes to the garden area! Thanks for being there!

User

Love the Exmouth Arms, usually go along for burger Tuesday, but last night had the festive menu and was blown away with how amazing the food was.

The venue has been decked out with gorgeous and tasteful decorations, especially the table wreaths.

Opted for 2 courses and had a main and pud, great food, well cooked and presented.

We were a table of 4 and between us had butternut squash Wellington, turkey and the cod, no complaints.

Puds were Xmas pud, panna cotta and an ice cream, again no complaints.

Highly recommend the festive menu!

User

Friendly local, with great food and live music!

This isn't a negative review as I genuinely love the Exmouth hence the 4 stars, but I was a bit disgruntled on Bank Holiday Monday.

I met my friend around midday for drinks and we had some lunch. We sat in the sun, people watched, chatted and drank a bit more, as you do on a BH! Our 5 other friends then joined us about 15:30. As we had already eaten and they were starving (the Exmouth doesn't serve food between 15:00 & 18:00), 2 of the lads went and got a Burger Star from across the road. As we were sat outside and no food on the premises was being served, we didn't think it would be a problem. As soon as they arrived back however, they were greeted with a surly request from 2 different members of staff (the young lad was actually very apologetic and the other one had a right face on all day) to eat off the premises, which they did and went and stood on the pavement. I just thought this was a bit disappointing as we were sat outside and had probably spent more than £100 between us all.

Anyway, like I say, not a bad review and I realise there is a sign stating no other food to be eaten on the premises but just a bit disappointing as it's somewhere we always go, especially when the sun shines and where I always take my Dad when he visits.

Fantastic Sunday dinner. Accompanied by excellent beer. Lovely atmosphere. Great service. Pretty good value. What's not to like?

User

Came in Saturday afternoon with friends for a couple of drinks, and to hear the band's, really nice place, except for the toilets...rather smelly as you went upstairs and passed the men's to go to the ladies...

User

The Exmouth is a great place and I would have given it a higher rating if I didn't think that it's just a little over-priced. Main courses at £9-£13 on a par with some other pubs, but Burgers, with chips and salad at £11, seems a little OTT - especially since at least two lots of chips I saw come out were clearly very over-done. Two drinks, a wine and a lager at just under £10 also seemed a bit steep.

Still a great place, it just means that I don't go there very often, except when there are special occasions.

Pizza was horrible.waited an hour not really sorry when it turned up and burnt.dominos next time

Well, firstly the good bits. Fantastic location and great outdoor facilities. The new patio/seating area is great and must have cost a fortune. Not had the food there for a while but I know it’s usually pretty good ( although reassuringly expensive I think it’s called!?).

Now for the not so good bit. Totally not enough bar staff on at peak times. I drive past the place every evening to get home and the last few weeks with he good weather the garden has been packed pretty much every night. Therefore unlike most bars these days, they must be making an absolute mint! Where then is the excuse for skeleton staff levels at the weekend and on the last couple of bank holidays of all days?? The only thing I can think is pure greed. They need to sort this out or people will vote with their feet, regardless of the great location. BTW, I do feel for the bar staff that they do actually have as they look absolutely drained from rushing about trying to keep up. They all look like they’ve just run a marathon. SORT IT OUT EXMOUTH MANAGEMENT!!

User

Lovely pub with great garden, unfortunately can't cope when the weather good and so many people out. 20mins to be served at the bar, then run out of pizzas even though we asked for a couple to be reserved. If we'd got drinks quicker we would have got our food too. Doesn't need to do much to make it really good!

User

Great pub great location good grub - but terrible beer. With so many great ales around these days its not good enough - at sister pub The Royal there is always a good selection of well kept beer but The Exmouth is hamstrung by its tie to Arkles brewery which is a shame

User

Don’t have the nachos . Everything else ok

User

Saturday night and management were absolutely vile, rude and I'm actually disgusted at how we were treated... Bouncer was lovely but manager and female bar staff should NOT be In Management.. Spoken to us like trash when we had just collectively spent around £80 and would have happily sat in there and drank more if they hadn't have kicked us out for nothing! We were on a team night out with laughs and were told we have issues and were vile... Even other bar goers left after and thought it was terrible treatment! Will not go there again and will Definately advise friends not too.. Such a shame for a pub with such good potential!
