There's a ton of misinformation out there about farming and while I don't intend to write post after post refuting it, I came across this info graphic which I found interesting. Our cattle eat predominantly grass, that grows with the help of the sun and rain and minimal fertiliser, their dung is good for this anyway. There is some tractor work involved moving bales around the farm, making silage and combining barley but no where near as much as if they spent their lives in sheds. And then it's sold locally so the air miles are 0 and the road miles are few so by buying locally reared meat you are doing your bit for the environment!
You've all been tucking into our joints and steaks and we've been left with a disproportionate amount of mince so it's on offer!
We don't bulk it out with extra fat or water and grass fed beef is higher in omega 3 and 6 ie. the good fats!
