Went today with my family, lovely food and excellent service .. so impress to see they are autism friendly. Had requested a table out the way for my asd daughter and it was perfect. Enough space for her to move around but away from others. Thank you !
Only suggestion would be that it would be nice to see a child’s menu.
Visited the Farm Friday Street on a Sunday evening for a celebratory roast dinner, and we had pre-booked a table for four. On arrival, it was was warm and cozy with an open log fire burning by the bar. The pub was very clean with tables set in a restaraunt style. There were plenty of staff who were friendly and helpful. The menu had a good selection of food, and the bill came to £55 for a main course and drinks for all four of us. I can’t fault it!
Very nice surroundings and very good food. Very efficient service and friendly.
The food was amazing and service impeccable. I can honestly say that was the tastiest macaroni cheese ever!
Superb vegan / vegetarian menu with more than just one option !! Friendly service lovely atmosphere very clean all in all 10 out of 10 !
Lovely surroundings, food and exceptional staff. This is the second visit to the Farm and it won't be my last.
Just been for lunch and very impressed. Food and service was great thank you very much. Will be back very soon
I recently won a competition on Facebook for the 7 course tasting menu. I loved every minute of it and the food was amazing! Staff were very welcoming and made me feel like a true VIP! I would highly recommend the tasting events, great value for money, great food and a pleasant atmosphere. I will definitely be back!
Haven't been here in a long time, but popped in for a birthday treat today. We had a lovely drink outside in the garden and enjoyed panna cotta with ginger cake and figs... heaven on a plate! Definitely interested in coming back again for a meal to try the rest of the menu :-)
Had friends down from Berkshire so attended the beer festival- it had to be done!! What a great atmosphere music, beer, food and sunshine what more can you ask for? Thanks Paul and the whole team and not forgetting Joel for helping out also. We met so many friends and neighbors over there making it a brilliant community effort in supporting this event hope there are many more to come!!!!! Thank you again for making our weekend great fun 😘
Decided to go out on a whim tonight. Both the Food and Service tonight (20.08.17) was great. Having managed a landmark entertainment venue many years ago now, I always recognise great service and good quality food, well prepared and presented. Well done The Farm and a big thank you to the waiting staff tonight. We'll be back for sure.
Busy Saturday night, welcomed and seated immediately, asked what we wanted to drink and these were delivered promptly along with the menus, which were explained. Waitress took our order, and the food was delicious, waiting staff excellent, spoke to Emma who I believe would have been a manager, very nice very professional, the whole experience was first class. The pub itself was a warm friendly place, 10/10
Amazing night for my wife Jo’s 50th birthday. The staff bent over backwards over the last few months sorting out our ever changing needs. Top food and atmosphere.
Thanks to Emma and staff for a great evening :)
Amazing Sunday lunch yesterday, we both had pork which was served with Yorkshire pudding, pots and parsnips. The vegetables came separately. Carrots, broccoli, mashed swede and cauliflower cheese, all cooked to perfection. The puddings were amazing my husband had an apple desert, can't remember the name but was the best sweet I have ever seen or tasted. Staff are friendly. Need to let them know if someone has trouble with stairs as there are steps up and down. I am a visitor to eastbourne two or three times a year and I probably won't go anywhere else.
Bar staff friendly loving people Feel warm welcome. Really friendly and polite. Food was good. Even when busy wasn't waiting too long.
I'm not sure what's happened to the menu but it certainly isn't the same as it used to be .. The food is very sparse and the choices are pretty poor, I had the risotto and it was tasty ..but I didn't really have a lot of choice , when I picked the menu up nothing jumped out at me ... Very expensive and in this case I certainly didn't get what I paid for ... Bring back the old menu ... Place itself is such a lovely set out staff are really friendly this used to be my favourite place ... Not any more ...
Went there for a girls xmas night out. Having told us earlier in November the meal would be around£22, we booked the date (Friday 08/12) and were told that because they’d booked a band that night it was going to be £32!!! Couldn’t really change plans as everyone had settled on the date. The pub is very nice and was decorated very well for Xmas but the food was a real disappointment. I’d heard so many good things about the food and was expecting good things. The starter I had (mushroom croquettes) was incredibly dry. The main meal was nice - but don’t think you can go far wrong with a turkey dinner! Pudding was also disappointing. My panacotta was more like a mousse, the poached pair lacked any substance and there was hardly any chocolate sauce with it. Most people left their starters as they simply weren’t very nice! All very disappointing and won’t be returning.
I had the courtesy to write a private Facebook message and also an email regarding a bad meal I had. Unfortunately The Farm ignored both. Had they had the decency to respond I wouldn’t feel the need to let everyone know what their customer service is like! I had the Three Cheese Macaroni and it was stone cold. I was not in a position to raise this and cause a fuss at the time due to the nature of my visit. Very disappointed that they ignored my feedback and seemingly think the cold macaroni was acceptable & therefore didn’t warrant an apology or response.
Had a table booked for 6pm on a Sunday and seemed like we received reheated food, Service was very slow to the point it took over 40 minutes to receive desserts and having to chase for them. 3 people working but only 1 lad seemed to be doing anything and always had wave at the waiter for drinks etc and even had to ask for them to remove the empty glasses. Pub looks great but service main meals let it down.
