Food is good and the menu changes quite frequently. Went recently and booked in advance, when we arrived someone was sat at our table, seems the staff didn't put out a sign (or the guys at the table moved it) luckily there was another table available and staff were friendly and helpful. Drinks can be expensive

Delicious pear & pecorino pasta. Friendly atmosphere and staff. Will come again.

After we booked a table on sunday at 7.30 we arrived about 10 mins early to be told someone else has your table so we was put in the bar area and told table 30 under the mirror we had to go and find it ourselves not good to order your food you go and queue at the bar again no one comes to take your order. I ordered lamb shank and when it arrived it just looked like it had been thrown on the plate covered in gravy and a couple of slices of carrot a spoonful of leeks and some mashed potato which i can only describe a smash.Not enough vegetables to feed a small child.
My wife had scampi which it was all breadcrumbs and tasteless filling no one came too see if everything was okay or if we wanted any sweets bar staff too busy talking to a couple of regulars to even notice when customers were leaving thankyou for a terrible meal

Great food. Moist meat on my mixed grill. Everything had taste. Very polite staff. Very clean. This was my first visit but won't be my last. 10/10

Met couple of mates for a couple of beers. Sat in beer garden at front. Nice atmosphere and choice of four good ales. Very civilised!

VERY disappointing.
They advitised it as a romantic table setting , table clothes, red roses ect
Absolutely nothing on table just a more expensive menu , not even as menu stated .
Pan roasted chicken filled with mushroom and herbs - no filling just a piece of chicken
After speaking to Waitress was informed 'we don't have facilities to do the table as they suggest ' so why advitise it as such !!!!!
No complaints with service or staff
Hence I'm generous giving 2 stars .

Absolutely delish lamb shank!!! Staff are amazing...friendly, hospitable and just ace!! So lucky to have such a wonderful country pub on our doorstep!

Friendly clean pub, nice atmosphere. Food is slightly above average from what you expect from a pub chain, however it isn't great but fair
