We went here for food before a gig at 53 degrees just because it was close. We will be returning as there burgers are awesome. Thick and juicy and packed with flavour. We need to go back to try the ribs. This place really is a hidden gem.

We ate here yesterday following a recommendation from friends . All I can say is WOW . Great burgers and wings . Staff were charming and a lot more courteous than some swanky restaurants.

All of us loved the place .Will definitely be back for the ribs pretty soon.

Visited yesterday to see Cabbage. From the moment we walked in made to feel welcome by the bar staff. Food was like some kind of man v food challenge. Proper decent. In a packed bar in absolute chaos the staff did brilliantly keeping everyone served. Cant fault the place. And the lad we spoke to who books your bands is to be commended for his choices

This is probably my favourite bar. I love the beer selection, the ice cream, misch masch (the German cola/orange/lemonade drink they sell), the food as a whole, and the staff are very friendly. I also really enjoyed a gig here recently and the music is very good in general.

The food is always awesome; although I'm looking forward to a return to burger of the week! The staff are a lot friendlier and less 'clicky' than they used to be, and it's a great music venue too - what is there not to love!?

Superb food (I got a burger at 2pm & was still stuffed at 11pm!) really helpful, friendly staff, I took my 14-year-old son who is the worlds fussiest eater, the staff went through loads of options for him & he loved his choice, phew..... it means we can go back again now & we will for sure, very highly recommended 👍🏽😊

Not going to lie I was less than impressed with the customer service when I first went as the food took an hour... But after going for a few times for a gig and drinks... And getting to know the staff a lil... I would say it's the best place iv ever been for drinks and music as it's live bands alot and the beer selection is AMAZING and I absolutely love the atmosphere there when it's in full swing and that's all that matters to me

My friend and I visited tonight for our second time. We are real lovers of really BBQ/smokehouse food. Honesty this is the best smokehouse with in 50 miles. Beats reds true BBQ by a mile!!



The first time we went, we tried one of the 8oz smoked beef burgers, and split a rack of ribs between the two of us. The burgers where very good, juicy, full of flavour and just the right amount of smoke! But compared with the Devine ribs the burgers just did not compare!!



We had to make another visit. We decided to have the boozyback ribs (a full rack each) and split a plate of chicken wings (which honestly I never knew a chicken wings could taste so damn good!!)

The rack of ribs where smothered in a jack Daniels BBQ sauce (don't quote me on that) that was just perfect and complimented the ribs, of which just fell right of the bone. They where extremely juicy, tender and the flavour OMG never have a tasted ribs so good!!



Give this place a try even if it just for 1 rib! You will not regret it I promise you.

I have endless great things to say about the ferret . the BBQ is unreal . the staff friendly and welcoming . the decor is artistic /American diner / music bar . I can see the Ferret being my new favourite place .

Fat Jacks Garage played at the Ferret in the city on Sunday night, amazing guitarist and all round top sound from the band. Great food at the venue and a friendly crowd. Fat Jacks Garage will be on this coming weekend, where I'll be feeding my ears, at The Colne Rhythm and Blues Festival , tickets are usually £5 for the whole weekend! !!!!!! Lots of venues and lots of bands to listen to.

Enjoyed, no, REALLY enjoyed the Mexican't veggie burger with French fries and a couple great tap beers!!!

visited the ferret last night for a burlesque show was really miffed that i had already eaten as just as i took my seat a waiter walked by with a plate of ribs and wings that fred flintstone would have been worried about finishing then two more plates with the most enormous and stunning looking burgers passed me (accompanied by a waiter) nearly cried in my perfectly kept pint of magnum one of the large selection of craft ales I will be visiting the ferret in the near future and this time will be hungry and thirsty on arrival and looking forward to another fab evening

Food was good. However not the best smoked BBQ I've ever eaten but by far the best in Preston. The burgers are not smoked. The sandwiches with brisket are amazing if a little sloppy but that's what you want! Beer selection is great also

First visit at lunch time today - lovely pub, great ambience, fantastic food, and friendly staff! Al UCLAN students - it's a must, especially good value for lunches, and great live music/events... tempted by the Open Mic nights!!

Will certainly visit next time we are in Preston, and highly recommend to anyone in the area. Well done!

Came at 7.30 for tea, drinks and to listen to the live music.....went to order food and told we couldn't order as they are busy! Lots of other people ordering after we'd been told no and plenty of tables free. We weren't even being told not to sit at our table. Terrible customer service! Gutted! Waste of a planned trip! Maybe the ferret hates gays......
