The Firkin Frog

Danny Leigh is a singer/songwriter and full time performing musician. Career highlights include touring Ireland and Cornwall, playing guitar for Tom Odell, performing at Mandrea Music Festival in northern Italy, being featured on BBC Introducing and recording his song 'No More Running' at the Roundhouse for the 30:30 Compilation CD.
He is also busy organising and hosting his monthly residency at The Harrison pub (Kings Cross, London) called The Acoustic Folk Highway, which ...is a great platform for Danny to showcase his original material while giving other songwriters, duos and bands the opportunity to perform in central London.

We are excited to welcome back Rachel Lowrie accompanied by John on the Cajon! Rachel is a truly stunning vocalist who pairs this superb and wide spanning instrument with her small but mighty ukulele. Together they tell you stories through her beautifully penned songs. A must see artist!

We’ve met and listened to so many talented musicians since we started our Sunday Sessions and this week we’re definitely not disappointed, Saskia Griffiths Moore excellent debut at the Firkin Frog!

Although we’ve got live music at 3pm today, we will have the rugby on in the back room! 🍻

So tomorrow we have Alexis kindly stepping in and kicking off what is going to be a fantastic February with 2 new acts the Firkin Frog! How exciting!

Dropping in to play us some of his great tunes is Alexis Zacharia-Front man of the band 'Alexis Zacharia and the Boxing Octopus'! Sure to be a great afternoon of music.

Due to a family emergency Kelly Stanley & Company will no longer be playing at The Firkin Frog tomorrow, however we will be rescheduling this date as soon as possible. There will still be live music by Alexis Zacharia so please do come along 3-5pm!

Paul Corcoran (also known as Lo-Fi Waves) is a Singer/Songwriter with a real passion for music, writing songs about life in a very relatable way. Paul is a great live artist who puts on a brilliant down to earth performance.

One of our favourites returns again to the Firkin! Gavin is not only one third of 3 piece group 'Arcelia, he is also a brilliant singer, songwriter and guitarist in his own right! Gavin has an impressive list of credits including writing for 'The Flying Pickets' and playing alongside artists including Scott Matthews and Chris Difford from Squeeze.

Superb pub near the seaside! A real little treasure not only selling a good range of beers but some great, unique gins too. Definitely worth a visit, will certainly return. Friendly, homely atmosphere.

Really loving this place! Good selection of real ales from Goody Ales and other brewers plus for the non ale drinkers there is the usual array of wines, spirits & soft drinks (loving the gin collection). The live music on a Sunday is really good too and of course the staff & customers make it what it is :-) Found a home from home.

Popped in today first time sampled a couple of beers spoke to the locals friendly atmosphere some of whome have done the Margate micro pub tour small world happy days

Great choice of Ales for my hubby and lots of specialist Gins for me. Sunday afternoon is a must for us due to the brilliant live music. My dogs enjoy it just as much,as they get spoilt with biscuits. Would recommend to anyone

If there's a better place for a drink in Herne Bay then I haven't been there! Lovely little micropub that sells delicious booze and supports local music, what more could you want.
