We come from Essex every year to holiday in Dorset. We also make a visit to Swanage each year and have to have fish and chips from the Fish Plaice. I love roe and always have to wait for it to be cooked so itŌĆÖs fresh and delicious. This year we had family staying with us and they had enjoyed their cod and chips as well.
Used the fish plaice for my wedding breakfast and it was amazing service and food! We had to approach them last minute after being let down by another place and I'm so glad it happened! So professional, couldn't do enough to help! And everybody commented on how lovely the food was! Thank you!
This is by far the best fish and chip shop in Dorset. Absolutely love it. Big portions at great prices and top customer service highly recommended
The best fish and chips in UK! My family abroad loved it! I've visited this place several times in 9 years Ōś║’ĖÅ sadly I couldn't have any today as I was completely unaware of the refurbishment I am looking forward for December open day! Ōś║’ĖÅ Well done to all the staff excellent service ŌØż’ĖÅ
Thank you so much for doing a gluten free night. I cannot express clearly how much I enjoyed my fish and chips. YouŌĆÖve always done the best fish and chips but I havenŌĆÖt been able to eat them for so long. I ate every morsel, even though I was so full. Please repeat it!
Superb fish and chips. Their fish cakes are the tastiest I've ever tried. Fast and friendly service, I always make a visit or two (or three!) when I'm down in Swanage,
Not just the best fish and chips in Swanage, arguably the best fish and chips in Dorset and possibly THE WORLD! We travel from Ferndown to get the best ever fish cakes, home made by The Fish Plaice. Might have to move to Swanage so we can have these more often! The fish cakes are amazing, nice subtle taste, moist inside with lovely crispy batter and the filling is mainly delicate fish with fresh seasoning. Yum!

I can't thank you enough for doing a gluten free day, please make this a regular option! As a coealiac sufferer I struggle to find delicious, safe fish and chips but you guys have excelled yourselves here! My cod was fried to perfection, with light, crisp delicious batter and the chips were also perfect! I've always highly recommended The Fish Plaice and I will continue to do so - best Fish and chips in Dorset, keep it up guys! And thank you!

First time i have visited this place from all the way from London. Definitely highly recommend top class fish and chips, up to the mark ’┐Į.
Excellent every time, today was no exception. Friendly staff - despite being rushed off their feet. Generous portions, beautiful cod and chips which weren't too greasy and served in cardboard trays rather than plastic, good price too. What's not to like?!
Every time we go to Swanage we get fish and chips from here. The fish is fresh and white the chips are from proper potatoes not frozen ones so they are always crispy and crunchy and just taste lovely.

Best fish and chips on Jurassic coast bar none. Perfect excuse for a visit to Swanage.
Been going to this plaice since I was a little girl on our yearly family caravan holidays to Swanage and it tastes just as good now as it did back then! The que is normally out the door but moves quickly but the cod is worth the wait! My dad has to have the pea fritter so would defo recommend that too! Friendly staff and lovely location!! Check it out if you are ever in swanage
Amazing fish and chips, the fish cakes are to die for best I have ever tasted, staff very friendly, have eaten here for years and will continue to do so.
A great plaice to eat, excellent fish and chips, loving the curry sauce and mushy peas too. Plenty of seating at the front of house or you could sit in the square on the benches. Walking along the promenade eating these fish and chips is the British seaside at its best.
Back from holiday, and as it was my wife's birthday had fish n chips from here. Oh and it was my wife's idea. So the first thing I hear was a chorus of 'Bogrollbob' (My local name) from the staff, who despite of the queue, did with good humour exchange some some friendly banter before serving up lovely portions to be ate in the car whilst observing the sea. Nothing better and well worth waiting for.
Witnessed a staff member be verbally abused by another member off staff, (Im gonna punch my fist down your throat) when we asked for his name the fellow workers said he is the boss, not good customer skills in front of a large bunch of paying customers..
