The Fish Tank, Centre For Early Years Activity

We have created a beautiful swimming and activity centre based in Newton Aycliffe designed to get children active and support local family related businesses. As well a a stunning, deck level 10 x 6 m swimming pool running at 32°C, we have large activity rooms with an awesome Active Wall, a welcoming coffee shop serving great coffee and plenty of office space, currently leased to our in-house swim school, The Happy Swim Company. There is a growing concern that our children are simply not active enough. We all know the importance of activity on our well-being, with a growing awareness of the importance of the first years of our lives. The most rapid development occurs in the first 1, 000 days of life – a critical window for learning to see, walk, talk and think. We hope by building this centre, we can support parents and give the opportunity for our children to experience and learn through a variety of fun packed activities, all provided under one roof in the heart of Newton Aycliffe.
