Plymouth live wrote 'A pint of beer cost just 8p and The Beatles were the fashion icons of the world. A lot has changed since 1964 – but the community spirit at The Fishermans Arms is just as strong as ever. ... The pub recently recreated this snapshot from its past. Do you recognise any familiar faces? 🍻❤️🐟'

What an absolute hidden treasure! The staff are always friendly & NOTHING is ever too much trouble. I’ve been for meals as couples & had group bookings (last one this Saturday) & the food, service, staff & setting are spot on! Don’t just drop in without booking to avoid disappointment but you won’t be disappointed when you do book! Massive well done guys!

What a hidden gem. So glad our friend wanted to meet up here, loved it so much I've introduced The Fisherman's Arms to others. The food was delicious, the service was fantastic and of course the drinks on offer are the best, although I'm a gin drinker ( good gins too) I do have to mention the Summerskills ales. Oh and if you have a dog it's a very dog friendly pub, they even have a selection on the menu for them!

User

What a fabulous little pub, outstanding food, fantastic service all round, really enjoyed my evening, will definitely return!

We went for my Son's 11th birthday family meal on Sunday, although it was very busy being Father's Day,they went above and beyond to make sure everything was good for us.I have a brother that is Autistic and due to ill health cannot walk far, they made sure we had the table near the toilets, which made things a lot easier for him.The roast dinners were as usuall were scrumptious and plentiful. Thank you Fisherman's for superb service..

Visited The Fisherman’s Arms for the first time this weekend, I was very impressed. The service was outstanding, couldn’t help us enough, very friendly and welcoming. Didn’t catch a name but a young man was looking after us that night and he was amazing! Food was bloody lovely, we all had different stuff and it was all delicious. The atmosphere was great here, it’s very cosy! Love that you can bring your dogs too! Would definitely recommend!!

Highly recommend The Fisherman’s Arms! Visited Plymouth whilst volunteering for a charity for Armed Forces Day this weekend and was looking for a dog friendly pub... We were welcomed in and treated very well by all the staff! The food was amazing and portion size was very generous! Even the dog enjoyed his meal off the ‘Ala Bark’ menu!! Everyone makes you feel like family.

Great Pub! Nice staff, whether the lady at the bar or the lad in the kitchen, all polite, friendly and always nice to have a chat with.

The meals are just great and cooked freshly. Choice of beers is wide as well as for the digestives.

Overall, a definite recommendation for eating out and just being at Plymouth. Many locals seemed to have been there, as well.

P.S.: in the meantime the outside walls aren’t white anymore, but they painted them in a mintish-green...

User
