Went on a retirement party. About 17 of us and had a room just for our party. The food was outstanding but did have to wait quite a while for it. Very friendly staff. Would definitely go back.

Well what can I say about this wonderful place and people? Apart from they made both mine and my now wife Carly Parker's day amazing. They gave us a little off room and made it feel so special. The staff were absolutely lovely to us and our guests and the food was amazing as ever. We stayed in room 5 which is the honeymoon suite (so to speak) and it was stunning and just what we needed.

We stayed the night in a beautiful room. We had the duck skewers which i would highly recommend. The service was really good. Only downside was the breakfast. I would have expected a few more options on the continental breakfast and the cooked breakfast (not included in the price of the room) was not great. My husbands egg were like rubber! i would still go back though. They also gave us 20% of all our food bills as we were staying, which was an added bonus

We recently had our wedding reception at the florentine. We decided on it as our venue due to the attractive grounds and wonderfully quirky features inside. From day one we dealt with Beth and she was a joy to deal with, always willing to help out and was open to all our requests. The bar staff were fun and friendly throughout the night and all the staff smiled all night despite how busy they were. We received a lot of compliments about the venue and the food and I already know of several of our friends and family who plan to return for an evening out. Thanks again for making our day so special

We held our wedding reception at The Florentine in April of this year after dining there on many occasions and being so impressed with the food and feel of the place. It was absolutely perfect venue! Beth went above and beyond to make sure we had everything how we wanted and gave full support on the run up to the big day! Beth and the team were incredible on the day and the atmosphere was perfect! Thank you for everything!

Staying the night tonight (5th nov) room is beautiful,clean and huge ....really cannot pick a fault apart from ordering a bottle of champagne on arrival days ago only to find it wasn't in our room on arrival ...spoilt the moment on arrival as my husband and I booked the night way to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary.

Simply amazing!!!!! This amazing venue catered for our 100+ wedding guests; fillet steak cooked to perfection! Our guests loved it, even a few weeks on the food is still mentioned! Many thanks to the wonderful Fraser and his team! All of the staff couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating, making sure everyone had the best day ever! A huge special thanks to Beth, an amazing, wonderful and super talented lady, without her the day wouldn't have been the same and we will be forever grateful!! We � The Florentine! Love this place, nothing ever to much for the staff, very well people's skills, perfect place for for small wedding. Will never stop visiting them. Every corner have perfect memories ;)

Had a lovely meal and overnight stay, combined with a trip to the theatre; meal was very good, room was lovely and the service from the staff was excellent, nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely stay here again

Had a great dinner here for my parents 40th wedding anniversary. The staff were very attentive and professional and the food was absolutely amazing. Fresh good quality food with decent portion sizes at a reasonable price. Will definitely be going back.

First proper night out with my other half after having our baby girl and the food and service was amazing. Sukhraj our waitress was great. Best service we have had in here in a long time. Don't normally write reviews but had to let you know how good she was!

Eat here often and recently hosted a party here in a private dining room. Excellent buffet loaaaaads of food all of great quality! Friendly staff couldn't do enough for us, will definitely use their private dining rooms again. Only constructive criticism would be that the stools and tables in the laid back/bar area are too high. We have kids and used to come weekly, now not as much as the low seating is around small tables X

Beautiful modern room, reasonably priced food and drink which were delicious and great service by friendly staff. Couldn't have asked for a better weekend, will definitely be visiting again.

We've been here a couple of times in the last 2 weeks whole we had visitors over from the USA. The food is always tasty and fresh with decent sized servings.

If the food came a little quicker, it would be 5 stars. It just seems a long wait.

We arrived at the florentine after a very long long drive, to a warm welcome & a lovely lunch. Staff were friendly & helpful as we had never been to Sheffield before. Our room was wonderfully big clean and just perfect for our stay.

Unfortunately we didn't have a good experience. Ordered chateaubriand £60 for 2 people with 3 time cooked chips, mushrooms, n sauce....end of bag frozen chips n most were bits..no steak knife and a sauce that was to coat the back of a spoon and was like water. Gave my opinion n got 40% discount then waitress stood talking after putting bill on table....we could have walked out n they wouldn't have noticed but even waited by till to pay. Gently took our money...no comment, nice good evening, no apology.....nothing....very port after friendly start....what a pity...won't be going again.

Poor meal - dry chicken and rubbery potatoes that's it, NO VEG, not a balanced meal at all! Very boring and expensive, won't go back. Best thing were the friends we were out with.

Very disappointing trip to the Florentine, the service was terrible - staff were stood around chatting and we had to wait 5 minutes to get one members attention. There were few people people in there eating yet we had to shout a waiter over for extra sauces and salt and vinegar for fish & chips. I had a burger which was tiny and bland, not worth the £13 I paid. I also had a pint of Heineken which cost £4.30 and was flat. Despite my complaint about my pint that I had barely touched I was offered no form of refund or fresh drink, I and my friends, will not be returning.

Absolutely terrible service today. When we arrived we asked if we were too early for pizza.

We were told it was fine. Over 45 minutes later the pizza arrived, still no chips though (these had obviously been forgotten). We were asked if we wanted condiments and plates (?!) - which took a further 10 minutes to arrive, by which point the pizzas were cold.

We weren't informed of how long the wait would be, weren't offered anything in the meantime - and 45 minutes is far too long to wait, with two hungry toddlers, and especially when we were the only table in the whole place.
