Yes it’s still September and it’s probably too early to be thinking about C h r i s t m a s. But, we’ve had a booking already and even more people have asked for the menu, so it’s ready ! We think it’s not fair that only the humans get a treat when they come to visit us; so we’ve got a treat box for our little four legged friends as well! If they can find it 😉😉 (feel free to ask at the bar)

At the turn of the 19th century, Mr Hyde invented a day to pay homage to this masterpiece. Christened National Burger Day, there’s only one thing you can do to celebrate it: indulge in a delicious homemade burger topped with crispy bacon and smoked applewood cheese. Yum! 😋

It was a great book club meet up today at The Forresters Arms tonight. There’s nothing better than snack, drinks, a good book ! Has anyone else read this one? If you’re interested in joining let us know! We meet once a month 🙌🙌

Great host. A must if you like quality food

We visited this beautiful pub as it was close to where we was heading for the afternoon. We were given a friendly welcome and was instantly impressed with the choice of rooms where we could sit. We chose a delightful room to the back of the pub which was adorned with a selection of paintings on sale by local artists. After reading through the vast menu we opted for the meatballs and spaghetti and was not disappointed. The meal was piping hot, the meatballs in a rich tomato and basil sauce delìcious and the spaghetti was in the best ive tasted by far. This was our first visit and it certainly wont be our last. Looking forward to our next visit and trying another dish on their menu. Thank you.

We have been going to the Forresters for 25 years. We only used to go twice a year to start because we were working. This was when Pete was the landlord and Paul was the chef. It was wonderful a haven from the hustle and bustle of city life. It was here that we found our love of horse racing. We have seen a few changes over the years and now we go 6 times a year because we are retired and we still love it. We are part of the village and we call the villagers our friends and are asked to weddings, funerals and parties. Dawn and Nigel and their family who we have watched grow up into lovely adults accept us as part of their family. We haven't been able to go for a couple of months because of health problems and I know I won't start to improve until we can get back there to our little paradise and be spoilt with the lovely atmosphere and food. We come here quite often for lunch with Mum as they let her have a childrens fish and chips which a lot of places dont! It is a lovely pub with very friendly staff and good service & situated in a lovely village & a lovely run out from Thirsk!!

Thoughly enjoyed the Sunday Roast, great place, great Beer and a great atmosphere. Very funny Landlord, but l shall be returning.

Thanks to all for another wonderful visit. We brought friends with us this time & they were blown away with the delicious food & the great value for money.

Stayed here last night, ticked all of the boxes. Landlord & landlady were lovely, room very clean & bed really comfortable. Great choice for breakfast, all locally sourced produce & cooked to perfection. As for the bar, I wish this pub was closer, it would be my local, for sure.

Our second visit to the forresters Arms and it was just as good as the first, I had the home made chicken, turkey and ham pie and it was probably one of the best pie fillings I have ever had, accompanied by home made chip's and plenty of veg it was fantastic, will definitely be returning soon. Keep up the good work guy's �

Lovely place. Homely, cosy, and friendly. Steeped in history as is the beautiful little village of Kilburn. Food superb and room comfortable. Our first visit but it definitely won't be our last.

Loved our stay here, on arrival had lunch which was amazing and super size potion. Great option for a take out packed lunch for our day out. Friendly staff. Room very comfortable and spacious. Definitely want to return

Just stayed here with my mum in the family room for 2 nights cant fault this hotel great value great food great staff great location for walking all round 5 star brilliant definitely stay agen xx

Just returned from a 2 night stay here with our dogs. Our room was dog friendly and nice and spacious. We were even able to have our fluffies join us for breakfast in a side room which was nice as it was our rescue pups first trip away. Great location for walking and relaxing. Friendly and welcoming staff-especially Ellie who was lovely. Breakfasts were lovely. Evening meals were a bit pricey for our budget but tasted good. Overall a lovely trip we are looking forward to coming back.

Friendly pub with fabulous food, beer, and clean comfortable rooms. Friendly family run B&B where dogs are welcome to stay with you for a small charge. Strongly recommended this lovely place in the beautiful little village of Kilburn.

After walking 35 miles in 2 days with a heavy pack to get to the Forresters Arms, I suppose even the most run down inner city back street sawdust pub would have been more than welcome, but this place is just awesome from start to finish. Great beer (including special non-alcoholic beer for dogs), great food, good rooms at a reasonable price, good company, nice cheesecake, taxi booking service, delicious breakfast, lovely steak, unlimited free tap water at the bar - I could go on. Will certainly be back one day to sample the delights again. Highly recommended, thank you to the owners and staff who looked after me!

Wowcher deal, mulled wine & shortbread. Supposed to be for two only got it for one of us. Never heard floorboards creak like that in my life. Most of the staff was very pleasant and courteous. The older gentleman behind the bar needs to lighten up. Restaurant staff and meals I couldn't fault, impeccable manners.
