In line with the government job retention scheme, we are taking a break from all of our social media platforms, emails and phone lines.
Thank you to all of those who have sent such kind words and best wishes, they have been greatly received by all of the team, as well as giving us a much needed boost at this difficult time.
... We hope you are all keeping well and staying safe!

To all our customers at The Fox,
It is with a heavy heart that we have made the decision to temporarily close our doors from this evening.
We desperately wanted to remain open to look after our community but, increasingly, closing our pub feels like the right thing to do in order to look after you, our loyal customers and our staff.
... With Mother’s Day on the horizon, it doesn’t sit well with us to encourage those precious family gatherings when all the advice being given to help stop this awful virus, is to do exactly the opposite.
We hope you understand our sentiment is with everyone’s best interests at heart. We hope to return very soon and can’t wait for the day we can open again, welcome you back and raise a glass with you once more.
Rest assured, we’ll keep in touch with any updates we have to share.

Both little Nellie and Ginny are eagerly awaiting our next pub walk which is... THIS SATURDAY!
Meet at the pub for 10am for a hot drink and bacon sandwich to set us up for the walk ahead. Please bear in mind that the route will be muddy due to the recent rainfall.

We'll be serving pancakes all day through, with a selection of different toppings and flavours.

We may be a bit late off the mark as national pets day was yesterday but we couldn't resist posting a picture of the ever so smiley and bouncy Chester who visited this evening!
It also provides the perfect opportunity to let you all know that our next pub walk will be on Saturday 14th March beginning around 10.30am. The usual hot drinks and bacon sandwiches will be available from 10am.

What's better to brighten those Monday blues than a picture of a puppy? Nothing so here's little Penny who visited us a couple of times last week favouring the spot by the fire, and who can blame her!

What a wonderful Christmas we've all had at The Fox, we hope you've enjoyed all your festivities! A big thank you to everyone who came on our boxing day walk we had a lovely morning!
We're now deep into preparing for our New Year's eve party! We've decided to take the plunge and open all day. During the evening we will be serving our normal menu which will be featuring some extra special dishes, we will have the amazing 'Papa Funk' band helping us see in the new year, as well as the bar being open until 1am. Sadly due to staff illness we're going to have to postpone the children's craft afternoon that was scheduled for today, sorry to let anyone down. We still have plenty of food, drink and board games if you and the little ones do come by!

This time last year we had the amazing Cadence Singers bringing Christmas cheer to The Fox.
The good news is...they're back tomorrow evening (17th December) and we have a few tables remaining.
