The Fox & Goose

Had an excellent lunch here on a local recommendation. I had a hake fillet with pistachio herb crust, which was delicious and reasonably priced, and my wife had a Ploughman's lunch with local cheeses, which was also great with warm bread and a decent portion of fresh dressed salad. Would definitely have lunch here again if I was in the area.

Went to the fox & goose as part of a surprise visit to Parracombe to Kevin Green Pottery, next door.
Both were excellent. We are made very welcome at the Fox, with great drinks and amazing food, better than some 4* hotels we have experienced. Going back in October - because we can't get there before!! Now on our list for GAOAWC (go-as-often-as-we-can).
We since been back and it was even better. We stayed overnight and our room was superb, very well equipped with excellent linen and toiletries. We'll be back in 2018!!

Well off the beaten track, but worth the trip. Excellent food

Les, Wendy and I stayed here about 50 yrs. ago. We loved it. Two vivid memories : an entree of trout caught in the nearby stream and 16 varieties of marmalade!!!

Really great food, good wine and beer selection and the staff were really friendly. Highly recommend it.

Fantastic food, good portion size, friendly service, dog friendly and possibly the best roast potatoes of any restaurant I've ever eaten at.

What a lovely place. The external appearance does not do it justice!
Very pleasant staff, modern and nicely furnished rooms, and a great breakfast.
The location is fantastic - highly recommend a visit!
