The Gainsborough - last Monday of every month, Quiz Night starts. A fun filled evening with Jack my old friend from the past as the host. Play Your Cards Right with a jackpot to win , Spot Prizes, Picture round, anagrams, Variety of rounds & categories.

went there for my sons 40th 8 of us ,we took banners cake ,candle etc on the dinnertime ,for later and they dressed the table ,bought out his lit cake and looked after us fantastic and the food was brilliant too ,thanks all x

The quality of the food is well worth the money, plus the staff are also attentive & very friendly , would highly recommend The Gainsborough �

The Gainsborough is one of the best and most popular bars around for atmosphere, brilliant friendly bar staff and servers, great choice of cocktails, a good beer and cider choice, great tasty well presented food....especially the Sunday lunch � and regular DJ weekends......what more could you want ?? I'm there regularly �

Really warm welcome and personally greeted by a lovely young lady had 2 pints of lager, faultless, sat for a mains and desert 8oz Sirloin Blue (cooked perfectly - the chef really has talent) then afterwards a sticky toffee pudding. Equally amazing so so glad I came back, all whilst sat by the open log fire. Perfect 9.5/10

About 15 of us descended on The Gainsborough this afternoon to celebrate our 1st anniversary in business. The service was great, all friendly staff and the waiter was really great about keeping us updated that the food was a big order and could take a little longer. Everyone commented on how fab the food was, big portions and well presented. Fab place with lovely outside area. Thanks for accommodating us all so well!

Had dinner here Saturday night. Pleasant staff, fantastic food. Had Surf and Turf, steak was rare, beautiful. I am not eating carbs right now but they made sure I had extra sides. Highly recommend this for a night out. Well done Darren and team!!

Food was absolutely knockout! If I could make one suggestion, your Belgian Chocolate Cheesecake, WOW the slice I had was enough for two!!! 😂 It defeated me! Something that rich should be a tad smaller Lol 😂

Seriously though, lovely atmosphere proper cooked food, a great place to chill out with a drink & a bite to eat! Would defo recommend! 😉

Burger night home made fabulous 241 on a Wednesday night best burger in town

Been coming in to drink quite often last few weeks and can't fault the place! Always a great atmosphere and always have a great laugh in there!
