The cosy retreat is situated just up the road from Carbis Bay Hotel, Spa & Estate in the heart of Carbis Bay. The quirky building accommodates a range of gorgeous stylish and unique rooms. If you’re a Hungry Gannet, the restaurant offers hearty home-cooked dishes, and for Thirsty Gannets, has a range of specially selected wines and local ales served with traditional Cornish hospitality.
Each room has its own unique identity and feel, with bold décor and signature interiors. Rooms vary from ‘Cosy’, ‘Quirky’, ‘Family’ or the ‘Spot the Gannet’ rooms with stunning sea views. Try the ‘Oystercatcher’, ‘Chough’ or ‘Kittiwake’ rooms and find your favourite! We were staying in their sister hotel the Carbis Bay but up for the afternoon after visiting St Ives and what a lovely place. It was mid afternoon so quite quiet but enjoyed a few pints of Tribute and some lovely sandwiches and the best chips we had for a long time.
The staff were really nice and the bar man was both charming and entertaining and made us feel most welcome.
We stayed using a Groupon deal including breakfast, wine, spa access and cream tea. Food was fantastic, staff were friendly, bed was comfortable and views were fantastic. Being upgraded to a lovely room with a sea view on arrival was an extra treat. Would highly recommend.
We spent a couple of nights here last week and had a wonderful time . The rooms are beautiful , the food is excellent and the staff make you feel welcome . It was a great experience that I’d love to repeat .

We have just returned from the Gannet Inn and what a wonderful time we had.
We arrived early and our room was ready and we received a complimentary upgrade.
Martina on reception was so welcoming and informative. Lovely room with a view of the sea.
The location is walking distance into St Ives along the coastal path, lovely interior and a very nice bar area. Our room was lovely and a very nice bathroom. We had an Evening meal and great cocktails and breakfast was also lovely, great selection.
You can use the spa and pool facilities at the sister hotel the Carbis Bay Hotel.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely book to come back.
We had a recent family reunion at the Gannet Inn in St Ives. Despite our large numbers, the Staff were very accommodating and cooked tasty meals for us all and served it with great precision and timing.
The surrounding enviroment made for a great get together for which we now have great memories.

We arrived yesterday after my husband booked a surprise weekend away for our 10th wedding anniversary. Helen greeted us at reception and as I am recovering from a broken ankle she kindly gave us a choice of available rooms even offering to change our room to a lower floor the following day. The hotel itself is beautiful, the location is perfect and the staff cannot do enough to help. Breakfast was excellent..... there is nothing here to fault, apart from the weather but that's beyond anyone's control. Very highly recommended.

Such a beautiful hotel. We arrived for second part of our honeymoon. The room was lovely, comfy bed & big bath. The location is great not too far from the main eateries & shops. We arrived to cocktails in the bar which were amazing. We are in the restaurant & my husband said it was the best steak he’d had. We were able to use the Carbis bay hotel spa facilities & spent the morning in the heated pool & relaxation room which was a lovely start to the day. This hotel is lovely but it’s made even better by the friendly staff who go above & beyond to make you feel at home. Thank you for recovering our honeymoon from its poor start x

My wife and I had an amazing dinner date at The Gannet. The warm welcome by Helen and her staff was definitely a plus! The food on the other hand, from the starters, main course and desert, was just outstanding. We love the venue's decor and feel inside too.
The staff were very helpful all throughout our dinner and we can highly recommend this place.
Just returned home after a 1 night stay. Friendly attentive staff, beautiful, clean and spacious room (we were upgraded from twin to family room which was a bonus). Great location, we would definitely come here again!
Just had 4 days at The Gannet and loved it. We split our holiday between here and The Carbis Bay hotel and cannot fault either. From the moment we were greeted to wining, dining then departing, the decor, quality of food (great chefs) the overall service, I highly recommend this venue and location. Of course, we're in the real world and there were a couple of minor issues but these were handled professionally and without hesitation.
Just a quick thank you to everyone at The Gannet Inn for an absolutely wonderful weekend stay with yourselves, the staff are so attentive and seem to really care about your comfort and the meal we had on Friday evening was one of the best I have had in a long time. 👍🤓

Booked an overnight stay via Secret Escapes as a surprise for my partner. We're staying for a week in Fowey and this was a perfect getaway.
Fabulous stay, food selection and quality top class, staff were brilliant, Helen was so friendly and knowledgeable I could have chatted for hours.
Rooms perfect, modern and freshly refurbished with amazingly comfy beds.

Beautiful hotel, from start to finish of our 5 night stay we were looked after. Rooms are lush and the food was amazing and staff so friendly nothing was to much. Location is great can walk into St Ives in 15 mins or get train we definitely be back �

A hidden gem in St Ives! We stayed for one night as a surprise birthday celebration. The staff could not have been more friendly and attentive, making every effort to make our stay special.
The decor was beautiful and the food in the restaurant excellent value and great quality.
We visited the mother hotel the Carbis Bay Hotel to use the spa facilities and the staff were equally as attentive and the views and facilities amazing.
Definitely be back !! Highly recommended.
