User

What a fantastic live music venue. Possibly my favourite in London. Feels massive for such a small capacity venue and a huge bar that was easy to get drinks from. Hard to explain but there's room for everyone. I'll always aim to see Garage shows from now on.

User

The venue was great the selection of beers fantastic bar staff need to learn how to charge for drinks first round £ 22.00 second £ 23.50 then tried to charge £29.00 for the next for the same drinks every time

????

User

Quality little venue for the Liam Gallagher after party good crowd good tunes right next to the tube deffo be back

User

Lovely little venue. So easy to get to. Good staff. Good sound quality. Good lighting. 2 sets of ladies loos! Clean. Good house beer, reasonably priced. Lovely interior.

User

I went and saw Asian dub foundation and Adrian Sherwood.

First time at this venue.

I have no complaints other than it finished half hour early...

The acoustics and lighting were spot on. The wooden flooring allowed the bass to travel throughout the room. Fantastic night would definitely look forward to going there again.

Thank you.

User

Another great find to see live acts upstairs. Although it was small but the atmosphere was great. The bar staff (I think she was Jade) was chatty and friendly. Also she remembered people drinks which was an added bonus when going to the bar. Another venue that I would happily return to.

User

Accompanied my daughter to Hey Violet gig last night, security were excellent in the queue management outside, once inside , bar was well stocked, staff friendly, band rocked it, lighting and sound were fun! Only downside was fighting thru the crowd to get to the gents toilet at the front, great venue and experience.

User

A wonderful venue that myself and my band had the pleasure of playing at - the crew were professional in every manner and were a lot of fun to work with, and when my cable bag was left there the venue very kindly posted it back to me!

Would love to come back and perform here again - amazing venue!

User

A great, great venue. Big stage, big space, big bar, friendly staff and helpful doormen. Not expensive to get in or to buy drinks. What more could you want, one of the best venues in London without a doubt. Made even better when Meatraffle play the place.

User

great little venue! close to the tube as it gets and even better they let you vape inside! why dont more places realise that vaping isnt the same as smoking?! very progressive :-) toilets ok considering some can be just awful at music venues. We went to a sold out gig, but there was still loads of room, not uncomfortable at all, and great view even from the back due to it being raised near the back, and gently sloping. Friendly doormen too - only slight problem i had was a bar lady who thought a g&t was a gin and soda?! bizarre!

User

The venue fantastic, the music sound is fantastic and soo are the staff including sercuirty shame the drink prices are pricey but anyways one off the sercuirty managed to get my key back that I lost soo i really greatful they was able to help me out as I not local :)

User

Overall good venue, minor issues..

Gents toilets stink badly, yes I know it's a music venue, but I can live without sewage smell...

Cloakroom. People queueing to get coats at the end of the gig completely blocked exit, and the bouncers just stood and watched, in fact one of them completely blocked one of the two doors by standing in it, doing nothing to facilitate exit, exacerbating, rather than relieving the problem.

Still one of my fave venues to see live bands in London...

User

Had a great night last night at A Certain Ratio, just the right sort of venue for a band like that, and so easy to get to just across the road from Highbury and Islington Station on the London Overground and Victoria Lines. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere, the only slight downer was it was so bloody hot! Put in some a/c and I'd give it 5*!

User

Great venue I've seen some great heavy metal bands here as other people say there are issues with the toilets and the beer prices for me

User

Decent venue, good sight lines and reasonable sound. Shame they no longer have a few high tables and seats in the bar area for us old folks!

User

Decent venue, first time visitor. Easy to get to for me being right outside Highbury and Islington tube just one stop from Finsbury Park. Nice atmosphere inside for the Operation Mindcrime gig I attended, staff seem friendly enough and the sound quality was pretty good.

User

The bar is very expensive £12 quid for a pint and a vodka and coke the toilets have a major damp problem absolutely stink other than that not a bad place just needs the little things addressing like not taking the piss with the bar prices

User

First time going to The Garage, for the Linkin Party tribute party at the weekend. All in all a great night out but the venue/staffing left a few things to be desired. Narrow staircase up to 2nd floor/down to the tiny smoking area we had to queue to get to just can't be built for that amount of people. Aside from being overpriced, upstairs bar had one staff member who struggled with the crowd, waited over 40mins to be served, busted drinks gun on one side; terribly managed considering event was a sell out from the get-go.

User

If I could give less that one star I would. This venue nearly ruined a night that was months in the making. Thankfully STYX stepped up to the plate and a great night was had by hundreds of people. I would not recommend booking this venue for any event.
