The George & Dragon

Booked in at short notice for 4 people the food was absolutely delicious the yorkshire puddings was beautiful.
Will definitely be back

Went to the George and Dragon on the eve of the 4th November 2017. Bonfire and Fireworks.
Cost £1.00 each person, on the night, this being returned with drink order.
The place was ‘packed’ but the atmosphere was great.
A gazebo was set up on the rear veranda, where food and drink was served. (Getting a drink inside was not feasible, in the first few hours). Having said that, the night was excellent. Great fireworks display and an enormous bonfire, made everything worthwhile. The kids loved it too.
Looking forward to making this venue a regular visiting place.

Although we went in cold without reserving a table the staff were very helpful and friendly. They soon (less than 5 minutes) found us a table. The carvery is on the ticket basis. You order your food get your ticket and que up to have your chosen dish handed to you. The place was quite full but with a friendly atmosphere.. The food was first class in every aspect quality presentation and quantity. There was no pressure to eat and leave as you get in some places and as ive said the staff are really helpful and genuinely nice people. We will certainly be going there again. Their menu is a large cross section of delicious meals and duting the week even serve 2 meals for £10. A very pleasent meal in lovely surroundings was had by all and they also can provide high chairs for young children. Excellent in my opinion.

Very friendly pub and good food. Also not too far from the motorway so good to meet up with friends as easy access point.

First visit, thanks to a gift card from a friend. Enjoyed the food, atmosphere and decor. Will definitely come again!

Never had a bad meal here. Changed hands recently and still a good local pub with good quality food. Play area could do with redevelopment but I'm being picky.

We had a large family gathering here and mostly had a great meal. A few had a few complaints but we are all a bit picky with our food. The staff were lovely and the price not too bad. We were a bit wary about the steaks we ordered and had to send one back for not looking anything like a rib eye steak and over cooked. Mine was charred on the outside supposed to be rare but it was OK to eat.
An enjoyable evening.
