The Globe Inn is a great base for a break on the beautiful north Norfolk coast or an ideal spot for a pint and some simple, home cooked food.
Come and indulge in our delicious Lazy Sunday Lunches, now being served until 3pm. Bring your family and friends and relax, eat and socialise!
Accredited with 4 stars and a silver award by Enjoy England, the Inn offers exceptional quality in all areas. We are also proud to have been approved by the Visit England Cyclists Welcome, Walkers Welcome and Welcome Pets schemes.
There is a sun-filled courtyard for alfresco eating and dining and a perfect spot to read your morning paper whilst having breakfast.
Take a short walk down Staithe Street to the quay and you’ll see fishermen setting out on a good tide for inshore crab, whelk and the passing sea trout and bass.
The town offers a central base for the nearby beautiful Holkham Beach with more than four miles of golden sand, and the world-class bird watching sites of the Holkham Nature Reserve, Cley-next-the-Sea and Titchwell.

WE MISS YOU ALREADY // but we'll see you on the other side! The Government is advising us to do the right thing to beat Coronavirus and we are 100% behind doing whatever it takes to support our NHS and protect lives. We are still excited about the prospect of continuing to serve our communities, adding takeaways and village shops to our businesses – but for now, we think it is best to listen, cease all activities and give our teams the best chance of re-opening when the world... returns to normal.
With a heavy heart, we will be closing the side-doors on Chestnut’s pubs and restaurants from the evening of 23rd March 2020. We will be taking reservations from 1st July 2020.
This is not goodbye from us… It is see you again soon, where we look forward to celebrating with you at the mother of all opening parties!!

TAKE OUT MOTHER'S DAY ROAST // We are taking orders for Sunday lunch!! Tuck into roasted topside of local Angus beef with Rosemary and thyme roast potatoes, roasted carrots, creamy bacon cabbage, Yorkshire pudding and gravy!
£9.50 per person or £25 for a sharing roast for 4 people.
Roasts will be cooked to be finished at home with instructions given upon collection.

THIS IS NOT GOODBYE // Following the latest government announcement, we are extremely sad to say that from tonight it will not be business as usual for us. This is the right thing to do and we are proud to be playing a crucial role in stopping the spread of Coronavirus. We are a team of resilient and passionate people and we will adapt and continue to serve our community to the best of our ability. The geese overhead at Holkham make the most wonderful noise, so many of them, so magnificent to watch as they glide gracefully through the sky.
The very best way to start your day: A walk on the beach at sunrise and then a slap-up breakfast with lashings of coffee with us!
Our Valentines are having a lovely time; their rooms look stunning and the food is just cracking. The girls and boys in the kitchen are doing a fabulous job!
