Nice country pub with decent food and drink. Nice sized family room with plenty of board games to keep the kids entertained!

Had a great lunch at this famous hotel on a very cold wintery day. Fabulous atmosphere in this truly iconic British pub.

Loved bring there being a Heartbeat fanatic but staff could be a little more friendly.

Absolutely loved our stay. Beautifully clean room. Friendly polite staff. Fabulous range for a gorgeous breakfast & evening meals.

Just come back from this b&b, strongly do not recommend staying there. The bedroom (room 2) is so dated, dirty, carpet needs a good clean, bathroom had mould on the tiles, the extractor fan if that is what you can call it sounded like there was a pigeon stuck in there. The bed was so uncomfortable and the mirror was chipped and filthy with handprints all over it. For a heartbeat fan I was so disappointed. Recommend staying at Mallyan Spout Hotel in the village, pricing the same too!!!!

Visited the pub a few weeks ago, was served by a chap with grey hair and I have to say was one of the rudest people I have come across in the hospitality industry. I work as an undercover service and standards inspector for a well known retailer and the visit a massive let down. The wine I ordered was off, my friends pint of beer was flat and the fabric of the pub was shabby, dated and would benefit from a deeper clean. The pub lacked atmosphere and the host lacked manners - keep driving they don't deserve your hard earned cash!

We came here for lunch. There were a good selection of meals and drinks to choose from. The food was served quickly despite it being busy. The hotel appears to be maintaining a 60s vibe from being in the TV show Heartbeat but to my eyes just seemed a little tired. Go for fast but nice food but ignore the decor.

Just a brief visit for refreshments after a walk. Beautiful building well presented. Staff were present and approachable. Will have to return form for a longer visit next time,definitely recommend it.

Well to be truthful the are hanging on to the heartbeat TVs program not having to spend money on the hotel they need to wake up.
Any way the bar and waiter staff was nice.
Unfortunately that's about it. The evening meal was very poor at best. And the Breakfast was a wee better but not my much. The price the charged was for a 4 star hotel but it was only a B@B or hostel aconadtion. the rooms could hardly get into the bathroom We hade two rooms and both needed a paint and decorate it looked like no money have been spent in the hotel in years yery poor considering the price
But the thing that will stay with me about this hotel the most was the bed was so uncomfortable it was a task to sleep
