We had an excellent early dinner at Golden Chippy! We had Haddock, Plaice, and Skate fish & chips. Lovely location next to a main Road with sheltered outdoor seating. The food was all great, but the best part was the staff. Very friendly and helpful young man took our order and served us. Helped us understand some unusual items (for Americans) in the menu. Batter was delicious and servings large. Did not skimp on sauces either which can be frustrating at other places. Then the owner came out several times to inquire as to our wellbeing and asked how we like the Skate especially since it is sort of a delicacy but has cartilage to eat around. Well worth the walk up from Cutty Sark area.

My first time having fish and chips and let me tell you, this one will be hard to beat! Great flavor, cooked perfectly, and just all around amazing! If you are ever in London, go here!! You will not be disappointed!

Mouthwatering fish and chips. This really is the best fish and chips restaurant in the whole of London. The owner and staff are super friendly and helpful.

Just had lunch as staying in prem inn across the road and not serving good till 5pm. Fish is beautiful and fresh! Staff lovely! Top marks for a great plate of food! Little gem�

It was the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. The portions were really huge. The fish was extremely moist and very tasty. I’ll definitely recommend this place

It was one of the best dinners we had, fish was just beautiful. Googled for best fish & chips, and wasn't disappointed. Really nice service too! 100 % worth visit.

Great food, and friendly service at a fair price!!! I recommend this plaice above all others, and there are so many others around that are nowhere near as good!�

Delicious fish & chips & fried chicken--fast, friendly service, very engaging on-site owner, & reasonable prices. Located across the street from Staycity Apt-hotel in Greenwich-very clean, inexpensive yet fully furnished (fridge, dw, microwave, 2 hurner hotplate with cooking pans) & next to grocery & Golden Cafe (full breakfast, etc.) run by same owner with 41 years experience--delightful!

Best fish and chips I'll be back in 2 days.The chips with onion vinegar is so delicious ,fish is good also the corn and coleslaw . �
