we had our wedding reception here on the 21.10.17. this place served exceptional food during the day and a wonderfull Hogg roast on the evening. the wedding room was beautiful when dressed by Sylvia and her staff. and when my partner added her final touches , it was awesome. we changed the set menu a little, but that was no problem for Sylvia to arrange. we have had lots of feedback from friends, on what a wonderful place this is for a wedding venue. Nick the DJ kept the guests on there feet with his great choice of music.
if your planning a wedding, this is the place to have it.

Delicious food, locally sourced. Cozy atmosphere. Modern but still has it's original features. Friendly staff. Enjoy a lovely meal that is a little more special than an ordinary bar meal.
OMG this is amazing they bought us things to try out without ordering them if you are in the area go there you will be amazed
Very pretty old pub - beams etc. Disappointed in the offhand way we were. Received on our arrival. Also at breakfast we had to call quite loudly before we received any attention. . The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. We had dinner and the food was very good.

Very friendly and welcoming staff, the appetisers were a pleasant surprise and the food was perfect. It was a lovely evening all round in a very pleasant atmosphere. I very much look forward to going there again.

I've passed The Golden Fleece many times over the years but never had time to stop and eat until yesterday.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming as soon as you walk through the door.
The barmaid was polite and quick to offer us a comfortable seat with plenty of space for our young son.
My wife enjoyed the soufflé and I had the steak pie which was delicious. To be honest, when it first arrived I thought it was on the small side but coupled with root vegetables, rich gravy and fantastic chips it was very filling.
We'll be visiting again soon!
