User

Been in had lunch with my children today as it is my birthday we had a lovely meal couldn't fault it friendly staff brilliant !!

User

Decent food, friendly staff and good beers! Could do with a refurbish though and some entertainment like sky, live bands etc

User

Can't fault the food or drinks but very dated inside

User

Nice to relax without interference from TV, Sport, Music etc.. Food is "Pub Grub" but is OK - ONE adverse comment - poor choice of wine, only served by the glass & having paid £4.90p for a large glass (250ml) I am appalled that they charge 35p. for a tiny splash of soda water - no other pubs charge for soda water with wine. Also after our meal I asked for a Baileys or Tia Maria - they do not have either !!

User

What a shame! Lovely local pub with atmospheric fires. Only I got told to put my kindle away because it's against their rules. I actually welcome the encouragement of socialising in this environment without music being pumped out, but stopping people from enjoying literature? Come on Sam Smith! No laptops allowed to conduct some work in a social space either. I just wanted a change of scenery whilst getting some work done. As for The Haunting of Hill House, haven't even finished chapter 1. Looks like I'll have to find a new haunt myself. My social time is too precious for it to be controlled by such strict rules. Don't even get me started on the censorship of the enjoyment of literature. Poor show The Golden Jubilee.
