The Gonville & Caius Feminism & Gender Society

About The Gonville & Caius Feminism & Gender Society

The Joyce Frankland Society aims to create a discursive space at the University of Cambridge to investigate news and issues related to gender and intersectional feminism. Discussion events are held weekly and cover a range of topics from FGM to catcalling to whiteness and the beauty standard. The Joyce Frankland Society also publishes a biannual zine called 'Frankly Speaking' to showcase unfiltered and unapologetic voices - to let them speak, frankly. Proceeds from the zine have been donated to charities including 'Cambridge Rape Crisis Centre', 'Camfed', a Cambridge-based international charity focused on female education in Zimbabwe, Zambia, Ghana, Tanzania and Malawi and 'Yarl's Wood Befrienders. 'For a comprehensive list of past and present events please visit our Facebook page. For further information about the zine, including requests for copies, please contact us directly.
