So excited to announce Kevin Clifton from BBC's Strictly Come Dancing will be coming to Stevenage in 2019.

... In the past two decades Burn the Floor has revolutionised Ballroom style. Combining jaw-dropping choreography and ground-breaking moves, Burn the Floor brings their famous, infectious and rebellious energy to the stage every single night in the UK, starring Strictly Come Dancing favourite Kevin Clifton, and the new Italian heartthrob, Graziano Di Prima. From seriously romantic Waltz, to a futuristic Foxtrot, the passion of the Tango and Paso Doble cut right through. You will revel in the emotional power of the Cha Cha, the Samba and Jive, and be left breathless by the smoking, irresistible Rumba. With Kevin headlining this electrifying production, along with lights, costumes and eclectic live music, it will have you leaping out of the seat to join in. Not just a “feel-good” performance, we are seriously a “feel-fantastic” show! Don’t miss your chance to experience the pure dance joy of Burn the Floor. KEVIN CLIFTON says “Burn The Floor is the show that ignited a spark in me and changed me forever as a performer. Through Broadway, West End and touring all over the world this show has ripped apart the rule book, revolutionised our genre and inspired and shaped me as the dancer I am today. This classic fairy tale is brought to life with original music and a host of magical characters.
... The King and Queen are throwing a party to celebrate the birth of their beautiful daughter Princess Aurora. Everyone is invited – everyone apart from Narcissus, a cruel and wicked Fairy. When Narcissus discovers she hasn’t been invited to the birthday celebrations she gate-crashes and curses the baby Princess! It is left up to the good Fairies, Bluebell, Primrose and Tulip to try and save the day! Narcissus’ dark magic is so powerful that the good Fairies can’t stop it but they can alter it; rather than die by pricking her fingers on a spinning wheel Aurora will fall into a deep sleep and can only be saved by a true love’s kiss.
Sixteen years later, as Aurora is getting ready for her birthday party Narcissus arrives disguised as a kind old lady, and tempts Aurora away.
Aurora is taken to an unexplored room in the castle where she sees a spinning wheel for the first time and is so intrigued she pricks her finger, falling asleep instantly. Bluebell, Primrose and Tulip cannot bear to tell the King & Queen what has happened and so they use their magic again and send the whole kingdom into a deep sleep.
What will become of the sleeping princess? Will she be left to sleep forever? Can true love save the day?
With colourful sets, fairytale costumes, lively songs and dance numbers this adaptation of Sleeping Beauty is guaranteed to keep you awake!

What a lovely surprise to come on the train from central London and discover this wonderful theatre. Of course we struck lucky coming to see a terrific production of The Producers starring the hugely talented Paul Easom, Ryan Owen and Ali Bastian. We were blown away by the West End quality of this show - amazing sets, great costumes and a fabulous cast. We must compliment the director, Catherine Lomax, whose exceptional work gave us a fantastic night out. We can't wait to come back to Stevenage.

Went to see the panto on Friday and it was nothing short of excellent , so much so we are looking to take other friends at a later date . Full of surprises and packed full of laughs for both the adults and the kids . recommend!

Went to see neighbourhood watch first night at the Gordon Craig theatre on Wednesday night and would highly recommend. First class acting, comedy with a touch of pathos, and surprisingly relevant. Had a really enjoyable evening at this wonderful theatre so congratulations to all the cast crew and staff, and if your reading this don’t take my word for it go and see it

We had a great time at Ben and Holly show for my daughters birthday. Lovely clean theatre 🎭 very child friendly apart from steps to get up and down to entrance were difficult with a buggy! Was great being able to get lunch there too and st reasonable prices. Will be coming back to watch the gruffalo 😊 would recommend 👍

User

Was at the Gordon Craig this morning to watch Ben and Holly. So I'm one of life's worriers and I woke up at 3am panicking about terrorists and children and theatres and got myself a bit worked up to the point I wasn't going to go(I know.. im a bit of a wet wipe ). I forced myself to go, and was so glad to see security at the door and bags being checked. Made me feel so much better and reassured. Great show too we really enjoyed it! Gordon Craig getting it right as always! Thank you xx

Took the family to see Jack & The Beanstalk on its opening night & ..............

It was FABULOUS, my cheeks were hurting by the end of it! We all left with that feel good feeling in our souls.

Well done to the cast & crew & good luck for the rest of the season.

This alright geezer known as 'Lee Nelson' was showing off, wearing his nicked suit, doing his stuff at The Gordon Craig Theatre tonight in Stevenage, when my daughter had an epeleptic fit. He stopped the show and came to help. How good is that? All the audience very patiently waited whilst an ambulance came, and the staff, a nurse and a first aider were top notch people and saved our bacon. Well good init? Top Legends! Please share so the people mentioned above know I, my daughter, who is okay now and my nephew George are really thankful.

User

The venue was ok but the event money for nothing was dire..

The first event where I’ve left at the interval, all ego and no talent. It certainly was money for nothing! They struggled to get the tempo and cut songs short or extended the solo pieces to satisfy themselves and the front man just mumbles.Totally rubbish!

User

Thank you for you help you went over and above to allow a group of adults with their carers to be able to see tonight’s performance after the mix up of tickets.

User

Myself, partner, 7 year old and our best friend went this evening. What an amazing time we had, so funny, and we laughed non stop. This panto is a must see, I want to go again already! Well done to all involved, we had the best time tonight. Thank you so much!!

User

Just saw the panto and we absolutely loved it (our 3rd year). Everyone played their part exceptionally well and you’d never know it was the umpteenth performance. Thank you so much. Can’t wait till next time.....we’ll have to do it again then..... won’t we? oooooooo

User

Just back from our first family trip to see a panto. Jack and The beanstalk was amazing. we laughed so much. Aiden o'neill who plays Simon was phenomenal... totally stole the show. but the Dame, Jack and Fairy were all fabulous. And Cliff Parisi was a brilliant baddy. my sons (3 and 4) absolutely loved it. Dancers were excellent. Music/choreography/adult humor/costumes/pyrotechnics all incredible. cant wait to see who is appearing in Sbow white next year and to book up.

User

Excellent theatre which is easy to reach as in the town centre of Stevenage with plenty of parking just outside. Seating within the theatre is asuperb as not all squashed in, the staff are friendly and helpful, reasonable prices at the bar and above all this, they always put on top quality shows at very good prices.

User

Amazing show

Loved every minute will definitely book tickets to see this act again

Huge shout out to Paul the sound man for his help tonight in getting to my seat. Checking on me at the interval and coming again to aid me at the end of the show.

It is kind acts like that which turn a good evening into a great one

User

Very disappointed with the production of The Railway Children. Such a shame because the cast did their very best. It could have been so much better. The acoustics were awful during the first half with so much echo on their microphones. I didn't understand one word that was spoken for the whole production. After some people complained during the interval there was an attempt to rectify the problem. This was done by turning down the microphones. Would have been perfect if they hadn't been drowned out by the far too loud music. Such a shame. I have never been disappointed at the Gordon Craig before. Sorry. But well done the cast members.

User

My friends and I visited The Gordon Craig Theatre, for the first time yesterday, to see The Producers show. Ali Bastian who we know through Strictly Come Dancing, and other plays that she starred in was starring in it. Plus points in our experience. Theatre in close proximity to the train station we arrived at, Like The display sign above, impossible to get lost. New building, Adequate meal , sank opportunities, although could be more choice in the cake and snack section. Clean, airy. Friendly helpful service in that area. Needs improvement in The toilets and comfort areas. Large numbers on a daily basis few toilets only, long queues. The Theatre auditorium, fantastic, Well laid out, Each row, good spacing for leg room to facilitate when people are passing through., as well as when leaving after the show, no crowding. Wonderful acoustics. Of course loved The Play, story line, Well acted, Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Chandra Perera.

User

Went to see 'Get Ready ' last night which was the very first show . There were a few teething problems , sound was a bit dodgy in places , and a couple of the guys forgot their cheography !!! One of the lady singers was awful ☹️However I really enjoyed the show great songs and atmosphere would love to see the show again once it's done a few more venues and got some more experience x

User

Get Ready fanatic production and great audience participation however... GCT you really need to sort out your Bar Service... the lack of servers meant people were getting very frustrated/angry at not being served in order and fast enough!! we went to sit down to get away from the frictional attitudes of some people, not a great start to an evening

User

Was there last night. There was a fire alarm. We asked staff members what the alarm bells meant, they said they didn't know. When the building was eventually evacuated some time later, members of the public were blocking the doors and exits, standing by exits and on stairs leading To exits, which made exiting the venue difficult, with no one apparently in charge of the situation. Staff members were standing around chatting, having an unscheduled fag break. It was apparent they had no idea what to do in the event of an emergency... except make the most of an extra fag break. Thank god it was a false alarm. I genuinely dread to think what would've happened if this was an actual emergency as the staff were clearly not trained to deal with such an event and there appeared to be no procedures in place to deal with a fire - shocking

Get Ready fanatic production and great audience participation however... GCT you really need to sort out your Bar Service... the lack of servers meant people were getting very frustrated/angry at not being served in order and fast enough!! we went to sit down to get away from the frictional attitudes of some people, not a great start to an evening
