What a super place, above all else the staff are so friendly and helpful, rooms were lovely and food was gorgeous we booked as a stopover for a wedding but so glad we did I would recommend to anyone if your in the area breakfast freshly cooked and so tasty

We usually always go to the shoulder of mutton for lunch but decided to finally try here and so glad we did. Food was outstanding, presentation was outstanding and great value for money. Cosy bar with lovely staff too. Will defo be our new food stop haha. Love it! Would give more stars if I could .

We had a family Birthday meal at the Granby last night for my Mum's 90th Birthday, there were 16 of us at the table, the 3 course meal was absolutely beautiful and the Staff were amazing, great service, beautifully cooked and presented food and the Staff even came in with our Birthday Cake singing Happy Birthday. Thank you.x

We called here for lunch on our way to visit nearby Brinkworth Priory. It was busy but is open all day and we were easily accommodated. The serving staff were very friendly and welcoming and there is a wide choice of food on the main menu as well as a more limited lunch menu at £11.95. All

The food we had was freshly cooked and delicious. We'll definitely come here again .

We called here during our holiday in Northumbria. What a find! Delicious food, excellently presented - sticky toffee pudding to die for! Staff very helpful and polite - what more could you ask?

Thoroughly enjoyed a family meal at the Granby last night. I had, for the first time ever, Beef Olives (part of their 50yr celebrations) they were delicious, husband cleared his plate of a huge fillet steak & the two teens wolfed down good old scampi - not a morsel left! Worth a drive out folks!

The best fillet steak I've ever had and the peppercorn sauce is to die for! Will definitely be back soon!

The Afternoon Tea was delicious & amazing value for money!

Lovely Sunday lunch, we popped in with my twins and we're all catered for. Staff very friendly

Just stayed for one night to go to a friends wedding not far from here. Staff were lovely, bed was comfy, views from our room were stunning (room 5). We added on dinner which was gorgeous, love the way they present the food and the breakfast was the best I've ever had. Thank you x

Had Sunday lunch today with my wife and youngest. Unbelievable quality, well actually it is you have been producing brilliant food for years.

Outstanding food from a very talented chef, excellent staff. We will be back in the very near future.

Fabulous! Came across this place for lunch travelling from Bamburgh to Doncaster. Warm welcome, gorgeous food, nice and cosy. What more could you want?

Came across this place on our way back from Scotland, Very warm welcome great range of drinks. The meau is unbelievable defiantly five stars for the food Venison was Probly best hes ever had Curry was beautiful, Service was great

Slightly bad start. Booked in for 1 night at short notice. Opening room door - overwhelming smell of urine - yes it was. Rapidly resolved by lovely staff & shown to another room.

Ate in evening - food was wonderful & staff great - could not fault.

Room - Dated - comfortable & adequate -decent for price.

Would I stay - yes !

The food was nice, weren't given the option of veg, although we heard others being offered it! Couldn't help but feel like it's a pub for 'regulars'! Shame as we used to go often years ago! Gent behind the bar was very friendly!

Just a suggestion, please don't deep fry the potatoes !!
