The Grasmere Gingerbread Shop

Have been to Grasmere a couple of time however we never found this little shop before. So glad we stopped though and bought a packet of 12 as it is the best gingerbread I’ve ever had and the following day we went back to stock up our cupboards with 2 more packets of 12 it was so good!

It's great! They sell very good food, I loved the taste of the gingerbread. The people that work there wear Victorian clothes, I really liked this place.

Wonderful little shop selling the best gingerbread treats you've ever had. We were passing through and we're glad we stopped by. We bought a few packs of the gingerbread and finished one before leaving the Daffodil Garden next door. Had to go back in to buy some more! Highly recommended.

Best ginger bread so far. Smell of ginger bread is like a magic spell, you cannot say no. Inside of the shop is very small and cute. Spoon garden at the entry is lovely. Try them when it is still warm, amazing.

Always call in when in and around the Lake District, it's a must.

Lovely sunny day and they were also selling their own gingerbread ice cream just outside the shop which had to be sampled.

Delicious gingerbread, a must have for the walks, snacks at home or for a gift. The shop is very small so you need to queue outside but once inside, it's lovely and the service is quick.

Grasmere Gingerbread is an institution. It's like manna from above and should be included as part of the '5 a day'. The shop is quaint and has maintained its authenticity and the products are well priced.

How can you put it into words? Simply the best gingerbread in the world. History and taste in one little place.
